Woodys Restaurant & Bar

The food was disgusting and could not be finished by any member of the party. Its temperature varied forkful to forkful, but the quality remained consistently awful. This restaurant looks like an affordable place, but you can get a far, far better meal in Stratford any price point.

My girlfriend and I occasionally go to Woody's as a bar/dance... spot, and so we decided we should actually go for a meal. For fun. It was a terrible mistake. The food was awful. My chicken fingers were obviously out of a box from the freezer and my girlfriend's 'chicken' was covered in some sort of sauce that was the consistency of snot. And the mashed potatoes tasted like gramma and were lumpy. As a topper, when we were paying the bill, we noticed a bloody kleenex on the floor under our table. Enough said.

I'm not sure how they stay in business, maybe bus tours?

Not knowing where to get a steak in Stratford, we foolishly relied on the tourist guide's advertising of Woody's. What a mistake! Our first clue should have been the torn carpet and overwhelming smell of chlorine. The table cloths were plastic and dirty, the water glass had lipstick on it, the bread was a couple weeks old at least, they were very stingy with butter pats, the steaks were horrendous both in preparation and taste/texture, the baked potato tasted mouldy, and the carrots were from frozen and tasted like chlorine. We were so astounded by this awful meal, and the crazy prices for it, that we left and got ourselves a tuna sandwich down the road at a bakery. It was the best tuna sandwich we had ever had the pleasure to enjoy. DO NOT EVER GO TO WOODY'S...EVER!

Never Open a bar tab because he doesnt give menus and adds extra cash on your visa. i lost $ 34

We were in a rush because our play was going to start so we thought we could have a quick, "safe" meal in this place. What a horrible experience. We almost left right away but we did not have time to go somewhere else. When the food arrived it made things worse. We could not finish the food on our plates. Just thinking about that smell of bleach, dust, and old grease make us want to stop here...

absolutely horrible place to go, if im walking by that place i cross the road and go around....it smells really bad before you walk in. I would never go again... warning to all! it shouldn't have a rating..

We agree with the other reviewers. We almost stopped going to Stratford because this was such an awful experience.

This is the most aweful place I have been to in a very very long time.

I was surprised at how stereotypically disgusting this place was kept. Maybe I was in the day before their monthly clean-up or something but, ugh, it was grimy, in places greasy and dirty. The service was atrocious. I cant even tell you how bad it was. I cant even believe this place still exists with the lousy service they provide and I dont even know how they pass food and cleanliness inspections.
