The Annex Room

Went to the Annex Room prior a Stratford perfomance. We were seated and were forgotten for a time (not sure if we were seated during someone coming on shift?) - anyway other people were served and ordered before we were.

Ordered the Daily Soup which was a hearty soup and the bread was very good. Order pizza since we heard their pizza was great. The pizza was good but not great.

Nice surroundings, good meal but not memorable.

Had a pre- theatre dinner at the Annex and the food was delicious. Great atmosphere and helpful staff. The fresh bread, roast garlic and olive oil Mmmmmmm.

We had been to the Annex before, some of the entrees were different, but overall we enjoyed our selections, we had brought friends that had never been there and had a good time. The atmosphere is wonderful, and friendly service too. I would recommend the Annex Room

Their stone oven pizzas are absolutely fabulous, their service is awesome and the dining room is amazing. They have the most appealing lounge seating for a small company, and a very well put together atmosphere.

It was a winter night which is commonly slow in Stratford but the Annex made us feel like we were special with our friends from out of town! thankyou Annex

The restaurant says they are "casual fine dining" and they are just that, our server was friendly and informed, yet non invasive and let us have a nice quiet time, the food was fresh, innovative, promp, and certainly tasted out of this world!

My sister and I had tickets to see "Ghosts' at the Tom Patterson. Dinner then the show was the plan. I had neglected to make a reservation for dinner thinking there were so many restaurants we could just wing it. Well, as we walked along Ontario St. our options were diminishing.
When we read about the Annex Inn in the Stratford Theatre booklet, it sounded great but would we get in. We reviewed the menu outside the door and decided on what we wanted if we could get in.
The hostess greeted us at the door and asked if we were going to a show. We told her yes and if it helped, we already knew what we wanted. She did an amazing job of getting us a table right away and also put our order in. Her willingness to get us fed and to the show on time was unexpected and a delightful surprise. So often you go to restaurants and they look down on you if you didn't think ahead to make a reservation. Not here. They were very courteous and obliging.
Not to mention the food was outstanding !! I am definitely referring this restaurant with praise to my friends and family and it is already on my To-Do list for visits.
We left for the show totally satisfied and grateful for such excellent service !!
