This used to be a great place, before it became part of the now hotel Best Western.
They were known for their roast beef, pork and game fowl.
They now have a fixed menu, but I didn't see anything on that, that I didn't or wouldn't prepare myself.
The special of the day was prime rib, so I went for that, I wasn't told the price, but looking at the fixed menu of appetizer, main and dessert for 40.00 I figured it maybe more,Worst martini ever!
Red wine I only had a glass, and it was either open far to long... or a bad year, most likely the first comment.
The prime rib was good, the potatoes were undercooked and the asparagus gritty.
the salad was a combo of cucumbers, lettuce and peppers. .well presented but on the slimy side..
Pavlova for dessert was still amazing!
go for the dessert! - Order: plymouth gin martini, green salad, Prime rib,red potatoes, asparagus, red wine, pavlova

I used to eat at the parlour alot.. but this was a few years ago and ive since moved, but i was in town and i decided to eat there and i was happy when i found out there was a new chef. This happiness did not last. They ysed to serve the most amazing duck and rissotto,, but they did not have any more and the new rissoto (mushroom i think) was hard, and tasted old and very bad.. like dirty feet. The tomato soup was to acidic and unpleasant... i want the old GOOD food. Also the once happy service was terrible.. I waited for ever to be seated even tho the place was empty and i could hear the servers laughing some where... i had to find one of them and ask to be seated.. and instead of being apologetic she seemed angry that i broke her away from what ever she was doing... She seemed Icy and un happy and like she didnt care. very bad service from her....
pavlova was good tho. but the rest of the food was terrible and i think this may be their new chefs fault... worst rissotto ive ever been fed.
- Order: Soup, rissotto, Pavlova

We ate with a group in a new recently opened banquet room. We had a mixed green salad that was served with warm basil bread followed by a main course of baked salmon, new potatoes, broccoli and a Chinese vegetable. For dessert we had apple crisp with ice cream. The food and the presentation were both very good.
