Fellinis Italian Cafe & Grill

Menu didn't state how large individual pizza was - came out very small (think pizza hut personal pan pizza). Was small for the price - expected a bit more.
Ordered ceasar salad to start - dressing was weak overall, but very garlicy.

On chicken souvlaki pita chicken was very dry and tasteless. Market salad to start was drenched in dressing.

Bread to start was good, however.

I and my family are long-standing residents of the Stratford community and have seen a number of restaurants come and go. Restaurants must be good and offer great value to survive in our community, and Fellini's has steadfastly remained a cut above in this regard.
The homey yet international flair offers a great greeting of old world and new cuisine, and we really like the ambiance of the colourful decor mingled with the scent of meals in progress. It always rewards our decision to come back, even before we've ordered!
The food is great no matter what the choice, and the service is second to none.
Yes, we are known to some of the staff due to the frequency of our visits, but we observe the same level of genuine attention and care we receive given to those seated around us, often visitors from all over the world.

It is a meeting place with panache that rewards my family every time we visit--which is often! I recommend Fellini's for diners of all ages and appetites.

My boyfriend and I have visited this restaurant a couple of times now. Both times we have been pleasantly surprised by both the food and service.

I think that some of the negative reviews here are from those expecting too much. This is not a fine dining institution, but rather a relaxed, casual, adult restaurant.

I'm sure we'll be back.
(The goat cheese bruschetta is my favourite anywhere!)

We were greeted at the hostess stand and shown to a booth opposite the Kitchen. The table was not clean and neither were the seats. The waitress gave the table a wipe. The area near the pass through into the kitchen was a mass of plates, cups, bread, bread crumps and a chunk of what looked like parmisan cheese. The carpet was badly soiled. Frankly it was a mess.

I ordered the Fusilli Venezia...in a pesto cream sauce with grilled chicken. GF ordered Penne Fellini in a basil tomato sauce with grilled chicken. This was billed as a house specialty. GF ordered a Ceasar to start and I asked for the Calamari.

Starters came and the Ceasar was really poor. Huge chunks of romain that could not be eaten without cutting them and what really tasted like a cheap oily store bought dressing. The calamri was among the toughest i have every tasted. I didn't finish it.

My chicken pasta....well the chicken must have just ran throught it because I realized after eating for a few minutes that I couldn't find any chicken!...in the end there were probably two or three small sliveres of something that resembled chicken. The pasta was grossly over cooked and was bordering closely on the paste like consistancy you get when you leave your kid's KD on the stove 5 minutes too long. GF's pasta was no better. Her chicken...said to be grilled was the frozen stuff.

Service was hoo hum....needless to say we won't be back

Fellini's hasn't changed that much since we were last there 2.5 years ago. the relaxing atmosphere and the bread was just what we needed after a hard day of tubing and driving. If you are passing by Stratford sometime Fellini's is a must. You will not be disappointed.

I love this place, the food is always great, especailly the pizza- homeade whole wheat crust- lots of different kinds and you can also create your own the exact way you want it. I also recommend the strawberry or strawberry-banana daquaries. Overall just a great spot with a nice atmosphere!

The menu (and prices....) have changed. Much less choice, at least at lunch time, and more expensive. Service was good. Penne Fellini were good. The pizza was horrible - a slab of bread with a tomato cut onto it. We sent it back and were told the cook had made a mistake. My wife finished the penne, they deducted the 'pizza' from our bill and we left. This has been an excellent restaurant for years but something has changed, and definitely not for the better. The service was good but the food and overall atmosphere felt like a restaurant that's about to close down.

I would have liked more dressing for the salad, but I didn't see the waitress until I was finished eating.Maybe she took a break, as I was the only customer? Neither the new prices, or the poor service, reflected the Fellinis quality that I hope is still there, or it will soon be closing.

Not knowing Stratford that well it became a daunting task to choose a place given the polarized nature of reviews on this guide. So I did the only logical thing and chose a place based upon the restaurant's name. ;-) Our party ranged in age from 17-52 and I guess we'd qualify as being reasonably cosmopolitan having dined all over the world. Italian restaurants being a particularly strong suit. Being native Ontarians we realize that small town Ontario can present a full range of possibilities when it comes to tourist towns with guaranteed flows of clientale. These experiences can go either way. Fellini's measured up with any of the better Italian fare restaurants in the price range we have experienced anywhere. Good food. Good service. We were quite satisfied.

We have eaten at this restaurant for years. Food is still good. Service was slow however, even though we came late and restaurant was only half full. We have noticed service is getting to be hit/miss. Prices in relation to quality of food and dining experience are getting too high. It's still a nice place but there are other better alternatives in town.
