  • This small cafe/bakery is located in the plaza at the corner of Mornington and Graff. It recently opened.

The place is clean and neat with a half dozen tables out front and an open kitchen/prep area/bakery/place for the employees to hang out, to the rear. The operation is family owned and according to information I had it is a family from Gadshill. The menu is very limited, sandwiches, soup and some baked goods. This where things sort of breakdown for me..baked goods....the place says it is a bakery...but the lunch time I went in to have a sandwich there was almost no baked goods in the place. I popped my head in the front door a couple of other times at various times to see if the lack of baking was just odd luck on that day....no...it seems they bake very little.

My sandwich...from a very limited list was a Turkey sandwich. I was not offered a selection of bread...white was it. I was not offered and selection of condiments....lettuce was what it came with. (no tomato, no cheese, no onion) Just two slabs of white bread, a few slices of turkey and lettuce......hmmm. My father was with me and he had a similar mix on whatever it was he ordered. Really pretty disappointing as a sandwich place goes. The service was ok. I assume it was the owner that looked after us. She asked what we wanted, no suggestions as to what anything came with or anything of that sort. She seemed in engrossed in a conversation with someone at the counter the entire time we were there.

So...neat and clean little place with a limited selection of baked goods, a limited sandwich menu and few if any condiments. Service was uninspiring. What did two rather lame sandwiches, a can of diet coke and coffee set us back you ask?....it took more than a 20 to cover it.

Needless to say this place probably won't last unless some changes are made. Unfortunate really as the north end of town could certainly use a top notch sandwich/deli/bakery place. There has been lots of grow in the area and it is the closest plaza to the new complex.
