Golden Pheasant Tavern

My wife and I both now love "The Duck".

I had the pizza and wings and I was not disappointed. They are both easily the beat I've ever eaten this side of the border. The wings are large and crispy and the pizza has a nice thin crust and tons of cheesy goodness.

My wife had the Blue Cheese Burger and when it arrived we both marveled at how massive the homemade patty was. She also couldn't stop commenting on how great the homemade blue cheese sauce and handcut fries were.

The service was great (the waitress was hilarious and had us both in stitches) and they we're also showing the hockey game on a huge TV in HD!

I would highly recommend this fine and historied establishment to anyone looking for exceptional food at a great price.

The waitress was very welcoming from the start. We ordered the fish and chips for lunch but it took a while to come out. The fish was over cooked and not as meaty as I have had at other places. It would be better if the fish fillets were larger or if they werent as battered and overcooked. I would like to try other dishes though.

The best Wings I have ever had.The Garden Salad with the House Dressing is the best as well.Excellent all around.I have never had a bad meal there.

the outside of this place is sooooo deceiving the food is fantastic and its funny any time someone brings up "the duck" someone always reply's "they have great food"

poutine is perfect and the wings are great. staff is ok, if they don't know you they can be kind of rude.

Myself, and much of my extended family, eat here all the time. It's down-to-earth, unpretentious (no caviar and crystal here!) with basic tavern food. The staff are the best I've EVER had in a restaurant, consistently, the portions are great and the price is right.

I enjoy eating here because the food is delicious and I know the owner and he runs a decent establishment.
I'd go back in a heartbeat.
