China Emerald Buffet

I agree with the other guy. This restaurant was not very good.

The servers are hard to understand and when i ordered my drink, took over 15 minutes for a glass of coke.

Had a party of 6 here the other day, the food was not very good. It's extremely salty for some reason on everything. We had to order extra drinks just to wash it down.

Service was no help, as a lot of people didn't speak english well.

I think the North China Buffet on welland beside the wal-mart is much better service and quality with the same price.

The buffet food was cold and not a whole lot of variety. Service staff very friendly but on a whole not so much to do. I won't be back

It's hit or miss. The deep fried stuff is always good, but the chicken chow mein is getting really garlic-y, with too many slices of almost raw garlic in it. And it's bland. The fried rice is pretty okay.

The food is surprisingly good. We've only had take out, mind you, so I have no clue how clean the restaurant is, or how the service is outside of their phone manners. But the food is fine. Not outstanding, but better than a lot of Chinese we've had lately.

I love this restaurant! The food selection is huge, the prices are rock-bottom (next door at Wendy's you can get a solitary salad for the same price as all-you-can-eat lunch here!!), and the staff are excellent. Yes, when they first re-opened at their new 143 Hartzel Road location, there were some major growing pains (equipment malfunctions, training new staff, etc.), but everything is running smoothly now. I often go for lunch or dinner with friends.

When I was first introduced to this restaurant, I was very impressed with the food, the service, and the atmosphere. However, with the new "Mandarin", all three aspects declined rapidly, and I stopped going. After high praise and recommendation from friends, I revisited the new location on Hartzel road and I was pleased to see that the quality was back. Ages of our group ranged from 4 to 40...all were pleased.

Bad food, Bad service, dirty dishes, empty trays. (Time 6:00 p.m)

Well. I'm a big fan of Chinese cuisine. And we haven't been here in a year. It was our friend's birthday and we brought him here to try it. My wife's migraine started after eating the broccolis because she has severe reactions to MSG. (No MSG my butt) and the food was like rubber. There was a weird smell around the buffet tables. The walls were dirty. And since when is mini-pizzas a good idea for a buffet item? You might as well have put out hot dogs! I'll never come back. Whenever someone asks about it I tell them to stay away.
