We had a contract for a baby shower at Big Marco's. I did not receive all the items agreed to. When I talked to the owner he agreed to $50 compensation for the error. However, he did not follow through and when we tried to reach him, he would not communicate with us. We involved the better business bureau and he would not communicate with them either to try and resolve the matter. No excuse for this...do not go there for a catered event.

Being close by lead us to trying this place out for the first time, along with good reviews I've heard from friends and the $12.95 pasta bar.
Let's just say that now that I've eaten here once, I'll never have to go back. Wasn't the worst ever, but was far from the best.
Service was slow - I'm not exactly sure what the wait staff was doing, there were a lot of them around but very little actually being done by the looks of it. The atmosphere was nothing special, especially with the almost dead fish in the fish tank near the front. Poor guy.
And the food? Meh. We decided not to go with the pasta bar, because it looked rather mediocre. I wasn't impressed by the fact that they're an italian restaurant, yet they have the really cheap, gross, low quality parmesan cheese on their tables. I'm sure the fresh ground stuff wouldn't be that much more work.
So, overall? Very, very mediocre. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.

I thought that the women who took our order was experienced in how to make a customer feel welcomed. Their Pizza was really good. I look forward to eating there again maybe try their pasta dishes!

I've been to Big Marco's several times, and have come to the conclusion that it's alright, but not much more than that. The chicken alla milana is what keeps me coming back. I'm a spicy food junkie, and the jalapeno-cream sauce has turned me into a bit of an addict.
One of the measures that I judge a restaurant by when it comes to service is the empty-glass rule. If my glass is emptied, how long is the wait for staff to come around and offer a refill? At Big Marco's you could go your entire meal without anyone noticing, which is one of the reasons I have rated their service poorly. I've been there when the place was packed and when it was empty, and didn't notice any change in the level of service either.
Food quality is acceptable, but not extraordinary. I had their boccocino & tomato salad and was extremely disappointed. The tomatoes had a refridgerated texture and taste, and the cheese was dry and stale. It's a simple salad that there's no excuse to do poorly. Very disappointed. If it wasn't for that spicy pasta, I wouldn't see any reason to go back.

Big Marco's has the best wings in town. Best panzarotti's too. Taste amazing, and for the price you get such a great value. Usually when I go I JUST get a panzarotti because of it's size. Even then, I get it home and usually get another 2 meals out of it.
I have never had a rude server or even slightly impolite. They are always so happy and helpful.
I've grown up on this place and love it
For the one who said the tip was built in, I have NEVER seen that. It's because you had such a large party. Almost every single restaraunt now a days adds the tip in for larger parties because many don't tip at all. My friend's restaurant didn't do that and they had a $400 order and no tip left after. So they followed suit with the rest of the establishments who do.
Bottom Line: I work in tourism and when someone asks me for a good meal outside of the tourist area, I send them to Big Marco's.

This rest. SUCKS... BIG TIME!!!
Words can not say how discusted and disapointed I felt taking my family there for mothers day. Being a middle aged professional woman with service experience ( I won my own business) I KNOW thsi is NOT the way to treat customers. We were told we could not order a la carte. Only the serve yourself pasta bar.. which was patheticly cold and empty. Its selection was poor too. The mood lighting appeared as if it should have been 11 pm not 1 pm for lunch. Very dim, poorly lit. I had sauch a bad time here I brought it to the attention of the manager. WI explained that our reservation was for 1.. we had to wait almost 30 minutes to be seated,.. and then an additional 15 before a waitress came over to the table. There was no senior discount or child/youth discount. And to top things off, we had to automatically pay 15% tip.. as it was added to our bill,.. when there was like No service.. It was SOOOO bad, I would NEVER go back,.. and will live to tell how bad of an experience it was to others for a long time!!! One bad experience will tell 20 others. - Order: Mothers Day... 1:00pm

I went with a couple friends for a birthday, it was booked several days in advance and, unlike most of the people on this board apparently, we were seated right away.
I am not big on tomatoes or tomato sauce, or really Italian food in general, but I agreed to go as a tribute for my friends' birthdays. I had heard only bad reviews, but I was extraordinarily surprised as, not only was the service excellent, I enjoyed the food as well. Perhaps it was a different taste than most Italian cuisine, and that is why I liked it. But I would give it a thumbs up all around.
The owner was there to thank us as we left, and all the staff were very courteous. The room was a bit dark, but it was an Italian restaurant at night, so I didn't expect anything more or less. :)

Sunday, May 11th, Mothers Day . My entire family, 16 of us arrived at Big Marco’s for a family brunch at the reserved time of 12:30 pm only to wait 30 minutes longer. Half of us had to wait outside due to the lack of room in the waiting area. We weren’t the only ones waiting, more and more patrons were arriving as we waited, only to wait incontinently as we did.
We finally got seated only to realize that we were squeezed so tightly together that our shoulders were touching and one of the end tables was wobbly and crooked . The lighting was dark and the mood didn’t cater well to a mother’s day feeling. We got up from our seats to serve ourselves only to find that there were no plates to put our food on so we had to wait 5 minutes until new plates were available. Once the new plates arrived we got in line only to see that there were five small tables with four or five small serving pans that were nearly empty. Some of the menu items that were advertised for there “Mother’s Day Brunch” were not present . The food, unanimously from the entire family was below average. The entire experience was pathetic. We will never dine at Big Marco’s ever again. - Order: Mother's Day brunch

Pizza was outstanding, I'd ranking it as one of the best pizza places around. Size was good, price was fair. I can't really rate the ambiance or the service properly as both times we ordered it was for takeout, but the order was correct and ready when we arrived.
