Ikki Sushi Japanese Cuisine

This restaurant USED to be one of our favourite sushi places. Unfortunately our sushi today was very of poor quality. The tuna was GRAY in colour (it should be a nice deep red) and was also CHEWY. I have NEVER had chewy sushi before.

Will not visit again.

I went there for a quick lunch and was surprised at the amount of food I received. Not just plenty, but tasty as well!

I admit to being a bit of a maki-monster, but ever since I cam back from Japan, I've become crazy over katsu as well... too bad Toronto just doesn't do fried chicken or curry like they to in Tokyo.

Parking is Ikki's worst problem. Anyone who's been there will know. As for interior ambiance, I actually enjoyed the anime playing on a tv in the corner--it was funny (not adult).

Next time I may try the golden salmon set special and/or the avocado salad... that last item looked very interesting!

My wife and I went tonight based on the recommendations from the reviews here. Unfortunately I can't say we are as impressed as other visitors. The place was ok, about average for a Sushi restaurant in Toronto. Gyozas were ok, spicy tuna rolls were ok but we didn't think the tuna was very good quality or the freshest. The tempura was nice and crispy but they should leave the green pepper and broccoli behind next time. The sushi pizza was probably the biggest disappointment with a very thick bed of rice which had probably been sitting around most of the day before being thrown in the fryer. Service was average and decor pleasant enough but tired.

I drove by this place for years and we finally went in a year ago. How good can a place be that calls itself Ikki? We consider ourselves very selective about our sushi and this place won us over right away. We go at least once a week and take the kids. The kids now eat sushi and everyone looks forward to seeing Tony and eating his great creations. We highly recommend.

average sushi, nice chef; but i didnt find the ingredients to be fresh;

the service are nice and funny. Sushi chef Tony very fast and funny. very nice and fresh sushi i never had. you must try that.

Nice neighbourhood place to visit again and again. Quick service, meals are always the right temperature and tasty.
Super value - just try to get nice sushi at a better price!

Very good food... tried to have them deliver though, and was told we're too far away even though we are just 10 minutes away... any closer and what is the point in asking to deliver?
