I love this place! Been here a few times, its close by and in my area. I usually get the Dhalpuri Potato or Chicken to go, but when I dine-in, I order the rice, low mein and the DELICIOUS roti! Their roti is amazing, I took a couple friends and they absolutely loved it! They need to open another Caribbean Wave in Toronto or Scarborough.
The atmosphere is great, its pretty big, with tv's and a bar if you want a beer or another drink. The servers (particularly the ladies) can be not that friendly but the owner is a sweetheart.
I would recommend to all!

the first time i went here the place seemed nice. nicely decorated and stuff. but everythign else wasn't as good. the service is beyond slow, its like having snails brining your food.!!!! the drinks took even LONGER to come, dont know why!!! And i totally agree wiht DANNYCD's review posted earlier, the guy just talks and talks an talks and bores everybody about his life. I dont care how much hours you put into your work, i just want my food!! the food by the way isn't anything to brag about. rice was beyond oily, even for chinese food. wouldnt come back on my own.

This restaurant is ok. The food was ok. Nothing to brag about. We mainly had beers, which resulted in hunger thus ordering the food. The service was running at a snails pace. Took forever to get drinks and then drinks again. At least the design of the place was reasonable. Wouldn't go back on my own or reccomend it to others. I have been to better restaurants.

Can't believe that this restaurant in in existence! I frequent a lot of restaurants in Scarborough and have found this one to be the identical match to that of a restaurant called Timehri. The fried rice, and buffalo wings were identical! How is it that a restaurant can copy items from another restaurant? This seems quite unfair! I'm assuming the stole the chef as well? Regardless, they can't compare to Timehri. The service is faster and so much more friendlier. At this place you're waiting and waiting form someone to take your order or to bring out the food!

I've been here about 10 times or so. Everything really runs on Caribbean time here.
They will take their time to take your order, and if you eat dinner at night, often times all the staff including the owner will sit at one of the tables together ignoring the needs of customers. Your food will take a long time to arrive also. They do not run a fast or efficient kitchen.
The owner is a nice guy, but when you walk in, you really get the feeling that you're not doing him any favors by eating there, instead we should be grateful for him and his establishment. He will often times talk to his takeout customers about his life or how many hours he puts in, or when he wants to visit Guyana... He will talk loud enough so that the 3 or 4 other people in the line waiting to have their orders taken can be "entertained" by him at the same time. He really loves to talk himself up.
One of my parents is Guyanese and I understand enough about the culture to know that everything is very Guyanese about this place... and to most of his clients, perhaps that is fine, or even just great because it feels like home. I personally get peeved by the lack of professionalism.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and maintained, they really did a great job with the ambiance for a Caribbean restaurant.
I like the Chicken Roti, although occasionally they don't have it and can only serve Chinese style food because the chef is not there. If they get your order wrong, or they are out of something, they will often times substitute something for you, but not really tell you about it. If you confront the owner about it, he will casually say oh yes, we were out of X so I just gave you Y... It really goes hand-in-hand with the attitude and idea that you should thank him for being there.
I ate there a few times per week when they opened, now I will get something once every 2 or 3 months. It is a convenient location, and when the food is right, it is tastey. I wouldn't make it my regular hide-out, or go out for dinner with friends there, but I will continue to go for a chicken roti once in a while.
The owner really has put a lot of hard work into this place, and I can see how some people would love it. It is worth checking out for yourself and making your own evaluation.
