I celebrated my 50th Birthday Party with 4o guests. I had never previously frequented Marlowe before this but it was highly recommended to me by a friend. From the moment I entered the establishment I was treaded with respect and friendliness, all my many concerns and needs were addressed in how I wanted my party to be set up and run. I had many venues in many high end Banquet Halls and far more expensive restaurant’s than Marlowe but none of them can compare to the quality of food, the exceptional service and attention to all of my guests needs. The atmosphere was fantastic, during dinner the DJ played soft jazzy music, so that my guests and patrons could engage in conversations, then after 10pm they cleared tables and it became a dance floor and the place evolved into a party palace. Every one of my guests commented on how fantastic everything was and would return to Marlowe again and again. One other factor that I was very impressed with is that there were no surprise charges added to my bill, trust me when I tell you that I had my share of bad experiences at the end of the night when it was time to settle up. The service did not end there; after a few days went by I received a phone call form the event coordinator asking me if I was satisfied with my venue. Needles to say Marlowe have my highest recommendations and a customer for many years to come.

Held a corporate function at Marlowe. Everybody was thoroughly impressed. The food was fantastic! Creative and delicious. The service was very good; servers were attentive, freindly, and prompt. The atmosphere was great. Beautiful, inviting interior, great ambiance. Would definitely go back to hold future corportate events, and plan to take my wife to Marlowe for a romantic evening.

I took my girlfriend to the Marlowe, I've been there many times but it was her first time so I decided to bring her over for a nice dinner. We both had an appetizer, entree and we spilt the red velvet cheese cake and she was sooo impressed by my decision of the restaurant! It was a great night I recommend the Marlowe 100%.

We always enjoyed the food here and the service was always fine. It may be a bit too noisy to some people with a place full of energy like this restaurant. This last experience was not too satisfactory when we were leaving. Server was Ash T (shown on the bill). Even though a smile doesn't cost anything, she didn't bother to give any (none at all during dinner, so COOL!). we felt not being welcome, or feeling she had a concern we could not pay for the dinner (don't make it wrong, we present ourselves well, it's just the feeling). when the food was served and we asked for grind pepper she wasn't willing. I had to go look for her a couple times for service because she was not attentive at all (not absolutely true because she asked once in the 2 hours how things were.). At bill time, she was standing there watching with her hands on the sides of her waist, taking for granted she full be tipped well. My interpretation was "See how bad you are going to tip me!". We usually tip about 15%+ but this time only 10%+ even with this poor service, considering that waiter/waitress need to work hard for a living too. But if I should tip right, I shouldn't even tip 5% for that attitude of service. Anyway, it is not the restaurant overall and I wouldn't comment on other servers because they didn't serve us. Apparently the other guy who was helping her didn't do a bad job. I would suggest to Ash to give some smile. It goes a long way. Make your customer feel welcome. You don't need to have a cool face like the fashion models on the cat-walk. When you serve, customers don't expect answers like just yes or no in a mono tone. Make them feel good! Make them feel ashamed if not tipping you right! Anyway I will probably go back again because the prime rib there never let me down. But I hope if I am served by her again, she will have an improved attitude, or just have someone else serving us.

I hosted my bachelorette at the marlowe on Sep 10,2011 with 15 of my girlfriends.... The whole process of getting the reservation was very easy and convinient! I delt with a lady by the name of Kim Lewis and she was absolutely amazing with helping out to plan this event for me. Upon arrival we were greeted very nicely by the hostess and got our tables right away. The dinner was amazing! we had the $45.00 preset menu. after we were done eating, the place turned into a lounge/club and we danced the night away! I highly recommand this place for anything, wather its your first date, or a work function, it will work! The place has an intimate setting to it, with great decor!
I will most definitely come back! - Order: $45.00 preset menu

I visited the Marlowe yesterday evening because of their "Salsa Wednesday's", and I absoluty cant get enough!! I am a regular visiter at the restaurant, and I always love to rant & rave about Marlowe. I had the Ahi Tuna Salad and it was phenomenal, I am guessing its a new item because I've never tried it before, me and my husband were blown away. My server was to kind, and was very helpful.... OH ALSO.. they put this new wine cabinet right as soon as you walk into the restaurant and it looked ammmmaaazinggg, I couldnt believe it, I've been a regular for over 3 years and I've never seen anything like this.. ahhh Im going to go again tonight! Anyone wanna join???!?

Tonight we went to Marlowe Restaurant and Wine Bar to celebrate a friend's birthday. The horrible experience started with an accident - a waitress spilled a glass of red wine all over my sister, her fiancé and I. My sister's sweater, her fiancé's shirt and pants and my sweater were all ruined. This was completely an accident,, however I asked the manager to come over as I wanted him to be aware of what happened and for us to be properly compensated for the damaged clothing (discount off the bill, dry cleaning, whatever was appropriate). Although it was an accident, there were 4 pieces of clothing destroyed and I felt that something should be done. He agreed that he would do something to compensate us.
When he later returned to our table, here is what he offered: We should take our clothes to be dry cleaned and if it worked (which it wouldn't as 2 of our sweaters are white and destroyed forever) and that he would take care of it. And if it didn't work THAT WE WOULD EXCHANGE INFORMATION WITH THE WAITRESS AND CONTACT HER DIRECTLY TO ASK HER TO PAY FOR OUR RUINED CLOTHING! We were in utter disbelief! I told him this was completely unacceptable that he was asking us to go after her personally for compensation and that I would not be doing that.
To which he said "fine" and left. He did not return to see us, nor did he suggest or offer any other alternative.
I am utterly disgusted by the behaviour of this manager. To suggest I personally go after an employee for an accident that happens in the regular course of business of a restaurant? Should I expect to have to personally work it out with the chef when he messes up my meal? And what if I injure myself in a restaurant - should I personally sue the employees for this? To ask this is ridiculous - if this is what you are asking, they do employees now need to carry their own insurance policies?
I cannot believe that this manager even suggested this. I was not mad about the accidental spill, but I am FURIOUS at how this was handled. Not only was his suggestion completely inappropriate and unprofessional, but to walk away from us and not suggest anything else?
Do NOT go to this restaurant. They do NOT deserve your business for the way they treat their customers and their employees. There are a TON of other restaurants in this area - do NOT go to Marlowe! - Order: does it even matter?

Hi Ed, thank you for your comments. I would like to advise all the readers of the real occurrence at Marlowe the evening of your visit. My name is Kim, I am the event coordinator at Marlowe Restaurant. I was approached by your server whom asked if I could go see you at your table as there were some issues with your drink order. When I arrived, there was three professional, mature adults at the table (two gentlemen and one lady). The problem was that two of the beverages that were ordered by your table we do not carry (Rickards White Bottle and Molson 67 bottle) the lady had ordered a Stella Draft that was unfortunately flat due to our CO2 tank ending and we replaced that with a Canadian Draft. When I approached your table I was apologetic and explained that we unfortunately do not carry those brands and offered you our drink menu to review. I offered you a complimentary appetizer to make up for any inconvenience. You told me that you would like "HALF PRICE" off the beverages that you were drinking because we did not have the brand you wanted. I explained to you that it is AGAINST THE LAW to discount alcohol and again offered you the complimentary appetizer. You sir, were rude enough to say to me that "ANY OTHER RESTAURANT IN OUR AREA WOULD HAVE GIVEN YOU FREE BEER" and said "YOU WOULD NEVER BE COMING BACK". I would like to remind all the readers that there is always two sides to a story. I will now ask all the readers to make up your own minds in respect to our restaurant and invite you all to Marlowe. I am proud of the food and service that we provide and wish to see you all soon. Mr. Ed, I have worked in the service industry for a very long time and am absolutely amazed that a man of your age would write such comments only because I did not give you a free beer.....
