Winchester Arms Restaurant

Disappointed. We were here a few years ago and didn't care for the restaurant then. All the latest reviews sounded like it had improved greatly. It hasn't. We ordered a large order of wings as an appetizer for the 4 of us and they came with the meal -- overcooked wings. My steak wrap was boring -- no seasoning or sauce of any kind. Hubby's stirfry -- he said it was "okay" but thought it was weird that it had green peas in. The other two had the chicken fingers and they also said their food was only "okay". Wait staff were friendly.

We go every Friday. The Food is good & inexpensive. Pete & Doris, the owners, go out of there way to make customers feel welcome.

Previous re-viewer must have gone to the wrong restaurant or had a really bad night. Our experiennces are always awsome,

My friends and I went for the fish and chips. We have lived here forever and have never been there before. We went on all you can eat fish night. It was really good. We had a fun waiter and he talked us into the famous dessert of theirs. Its called a jam buddy. It was so different. We all got one. Service was great considering the place was packed. I think we'll be eating here alot.

My friends and I drove from St. Catharines to eat here because we heard they had the best fish and chips. It was one of the womans birthday. Oh what a birthday it was. The waiter was so much fun and treated us like we were family. He even sent out for a birthday cake to surprise her. We were blown away. The atmosphere was like sitting in your own house with a party going on. It was great, the food was excellant and we will definetly will be back. Thanks again for a great time.

My Boy friend and I stayed at the King George Inn which is fantastic and cute beyond description.
We ate at "The Winchester Arms" one night & the "Smoking Buddha" the next. Both places are great. The Winchester is on premises and has good food with great prices. The service was excellant both in The Winchester & The King George Inn.
All three places are highly recommended.
No doubt we will be back soon and so close to Niagara Falls but away from the hustle.

What a great pub. The atmosphere was cozy, the hamburger was the best burger I've had since I was in Vegas. The wings will bring us back for sure. My wife loved them. The service was excellant and the server even hugged us when we left. Can't go wrong here.

Stayed at the King George Inn on the upper level. Second visit haven't visited P.C in a couple of years.

Same good service in both the Hotel & the restaurant. The Inn is extremely cute and worth the experience, very well decorated and furnished.

The restaurant is British Pub Restaurant style with a lot of choices. Would recommend to anyone. Even Marc Garneau (Canadian Astronaut) has stayed at the King George Inn and other celebrities! How can we complain?

My Friends had never been there and were very impressed.

What a cute little town although there are some places on West Street to avoid according to my friends.

By chance stayed at the King George Inn. A very cute Inn in the Downtown.
Never been to Port Colborne before and were just driving through on Highway 3 when we saw the signs on King Street.
The Inn is extremely unique, romantic and very tastefully restored.

The Restaurant has very good service and ambiance. The Management seem very eager to please and the pricing too cheap but can't complain about that as they put the menu prices up!
The food was well presented and tasted great.
Just what we wanted away from the hurly burly of Niagara Falls.

We will be back when next in the area. Very recommendable

When I last visited the Manager was a guy called Lou and I think he was a major cause of the problems I experienced. Now with new owner/Managers Pete & Doris the place has rebounded amazingly. The Food, Service and atmosphere was bang on. I also stayed at the The King George inn in the same building and this a must do. Each Room is separately decorated and furnished, one even has a bathroom in a Vault, (the building used to be the former cIty Hall). Great ambience and service under Pete & Doris's new Management. Will definitely be back.
Just goes to show what a difference staff can make.
