We visited the The Thristy Canadian this past weekend while in Peterborough for the Liftlock Atom Tournament.
The owner was very accomodating with our large group (60 plus) of young hockey players and families visiting from Ottawa.
They served us a great breakfast and the staff was very friendly with such a large group. We were in and out in no time which was great for our busy hockey schedule. Thanks again ! - Order: Breakfast buffet.

I am a big fan of The Thirsty Canadian. It's a great restaurant. The service is excellent; And possibly only parallelled by the food. I would recommend to everyone. As for Drug Use by the staff? As if. Give it a shot yourself and see if you like it.

It's funny to see how customers rate a restaurant very good, and when they see another name close to the owners brothers, they know the whole Family and the spelling of all their names etc... Come on guys, stop the BULL and stop trying to help your Friends get a good rating, and also perhaps this Viser guy is a different guy. I know of at least 2 other people with the same name as I. get a life!! Go and rate a real restaurant not a hole in a wall. This place is a waste of money
- Order: Steak and it was awful. I dare anyone to try this poor excuse of a place. waste of money

I'm pretty dissapointed on the comments of some of the reviews. The management and staff are always professional and curteous, and do their best to provide outstanding service. Thanks Thirsty!!

This place is disgusting. Servers we lewd, rude and appeared to be high on something. More than once I heard servers using unbelievably foul language when talking amongst themselves and to patrons. The food was freezer burned, the beer was flat and the washrooms looked like they should have been in a crack house. Makes you wonder if this place is just a front for some type of criminal activity.

Absolutely AWESOME! The place was packed due to a concert across the street @ the Mem. Center; however service was quick, orderly & above all else friendly ~ even considering the hectic atmosphere.
The breaded wings were surprizingly plump & meaty. Usually @ this time of the year chicken wings tend to get smaller because of the demand; however these wings were a definite meal. It took about 15 - 20 minutes to get our order but when we did; the dishes were hot & served with a great presentation both on the dish & by the server.
A couple of Canadian's later & that pound of wings was gone. Another surprize came when we were presented with the bill. 1 lb of wings & 2 pints of beer = about $19.00 before tax & tip. For the two of us it cost about $50.00 for a before concert meal.
Excellent & look forward to my next visit.
- Order: 1 lb of Breaded Wings w/ House Sauce & a pint of Molson Canadian.

With respect to the reviews noted below regarding Thirsty Canadian Pub & Grill in Peterborough.
It appears that 2 of the reviews are outright fabrications. The one posted by "Jason Visers" on January 1st & "John Watts" posted on December 18th. I am also quite sure that these are not the actual names of the reviewers as "Jason Visers" is actually the owner's brother & spells his name Jason Vissers.
John Watts makes claims of cocaine abuse by the staff in the washrooms. I wonder if it would surprize John to learn that he would have been unable to order burgers & munchies for dinner on December 18th as this was the night of the staff Christmas Party & the restaurant was closed to the public.
Further to that; he may also be interested to know that the staff of The Thirsty Canadian actually go to great measures to ensure cocaine is not consumed in the washrooms. Any surfaces that could be utilized for cocaine use are regularly wiped with a oily cleanser that would render any cocaine placed on it garbage.
The Thirsty Canadian Pub & Grill is probably one of the best establishments in the city of Peterborough. You will find the venue packed most evenings of the week, especially on event nights such as Peterborough Petes hockey or Laker's Lacrosse.
The restaurant is touted to serve the best wings in the city; yet all the menu items are excellent.
Do yourself a favor folks when reading reviews such as this online. Believe none of what you read, 1/2 of what you hear & about a 1/4 of what you see.
Check it out for yourself & then please write a review.
