The lamb in both our dishes was nicely prepared (one was marinated and grilled, the other was slow roasted). The service was good and atmosphere was cozy and nice. Unfortunately that was the only part of the meal that was worth writing about.
The salads had the typical average diner style greek salad dressing (Hamlin's in Lakefield is better), the tomatoes were grocery store variety, the rice was cardboard, the veggies had been in a hot plate since the afternoon, and the pastry desert was very tough (was that corn syrup instead of honey ???).
Anyway, we enjoy eating out, always hope the restaurant is better than we can make at home, and don't mind dropping $100+ on a good meal. This was over $100 and so-so.

We have been here many times over the years and never had a bad meal. Wonderful atmosphere, great service, fresh delicious food and not too pricey. The wine selection is top notch but even their house wine is well chosen. We will continue to frequent this establishment regularly as we love everything about it.
Thanks George and Anna and Steve. - Order: red pepper and feta app, greek salad, monkfish special, roast lamb with butter noodles and tomato marinara. (soooooo yummy)

By far the best Greek food in town. This is not your run of the mill cookie-cutter Greek, but gourmet real authentic Greek. The quality of the ingredients used for their dishes, whether it is the cheese, meat, produce is the best. Also, if you have a big appetite, you will NEVER leave hungry. If I have any criticism, it is that they are too generous. We always have to doggy-bag. However, it is just as good the next day. Staff is friendly, as are the owners (although they are often too busy to chat). This is a good thing.

Folks, this is the best in this town and one of the top chefs and sommelier's in this country. We always attend as a couple, but most importantly, we bring clients and friends to impress and they have never failed. I first thought they also opened up in Peterborough square (downtown), but no, it was not the same owners. phew! I thought they were economizing their food, well we are happy you only have the one location. By the way George A. congrats on your marriage. Love your place, food wine and service.
- Order: Saganaki, octopus, crab cakes and seafood antipasto as appetizers. Mains were rack of lamb, mahi mahi kebob. roasted lamb, baklave and creme caramel (to die for)

The first time we tried to go to the Original Greek for dinner, they were booked solid. So for a special meal out, we were sure to reserve seats. I was a little disappointed that our 'reserved' seats landed us right by the entrance, however.
The flaming cheese (not sure what it's formal name was) was pretty tasty, but nothing to write home about. The stuffed grape leaves, however, were excellent. The best I've had.
The greek salads we got with our meals were very tasty, but I wish restaurants (especially moderately pricey ones) would stop using iceberg lettuce. Romaine is far superior and a nice touch.
The lamb souvlaki was cooked just as I ordered it (medium rare), and was pretty good. My husband's lamb roast was excellent and he enjoyed it very much. Given the two appetizers we ordered, I took most of my meal home as I was already pretty much full by the time our entrees arrived!!
The baklava was very good.
While the service was pretty good, I didn't feel like the service staff were trying very hard to make us repeat customers. I don't even think they saw us leave...

The best meal we have had out in a long time. The food was fantastic. We could not decide what to order there were so many excellent choices so the server helped us. He did not steer us wrong. Excellent tzatziki sauce with the pita. The meal was so evenly spread out we were not rushed. And ended with the best baklava ever!!! cant wait to go back

The level of greek cuisine can now match Toronto's greek town. I had tried the other greek restaurant but it really doesn't come close to the level of service or quality of food offered. This restaurant reminds me of the Danforth area of Toronto.
The food is fantastic and the attentiveness to the customer is tops. Congrats.

We entertained friends from out of town for our anniversary, so we went to our favorite bistro in town, knowing the chef and sommellier would not dissapoint us and guests. We were right as usual. The best food, wine and service. We are glad these duo came to Peterborough from at Toronto. Amazing place.
