The Favorite Greek

This was the first time I have been to The Favorite Greek but it will not be the last. The cheif/owner is a very personalbe individual and you can tell he loves what he does. His food is phenomenal! If you like greek, do not shy away from this great place. whether you get the kabobos, or the steak, it is all prepared to perfection. I HIGHLY recommend the feta and hot pepper dip. Not to spicey, just the right kick. and the hummus is to die for. I don't like hummus anywhere else. So get together some friends and visit this fine establishment. You will not be disappointed!

We dine here 3 or 4 times a month and have NEVER been dissapointed , great food and service.

The food is delicious I've haven't ordered anything there that I didn't enjoy it's all been wonderful, service is pleasant, and the food comes fast

Wow! Who knew this place existed. We arrived just at opening to an empty restaurant. Our waiter was on us in a flash and took our orders. The food was ready lickety split and it was excellent. Price was very fair and the restaurant was clean. Will for sure return for seconds.

Man, I love greek food! So when I was travelling through Peterborough, I found this place on the George Street strip called the Favourite Greek. I ended up meeting the owner and believe it or not he was also the cook. He made an awesome lamb souvlaki dinner like I haven't had in YEARS! And I don't know what other places are serving for baclava, but this one was the best I've ever had. I left so happy and so full and still had money in my pocket. Thanks George. All I can say is, if you want the best greek food Peterborough, go to the Favourite Greek.

My wife and I have been going to The Favourite Greek since it first opened. We both love the food , atmosphere and people working there. The waiter was very friendly and always gives us a warm welcome. If you haven't been there yet give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Very pleased with everything. Great food,service and price. Will be back again. These people know what Greek food is all about, large portions,superior quality with great prices.

We have eaten at this restaurant a few times now and have enjoyed the experience everytime. The food has been excellent and the owner has always made a point of coming and talking to us. The service is excellent and we have thoroughly enjoyed each of our visits.

This place has an excellent atmosphere for date night, soothing, quiet, candles on the table. The decor is perfect and not quite as dated as other Greek places in town. The server we had was very polite, and he was attentive. The prices are right on point. The food is incredible! I highly recommend ordering the Greek potatoes.

The only thing that wasn't incredible was the Baklava... it was ok, a little tougher than other Baklavas I've had and not quite as flaky.

Even still, over all... this place is wonderful, indicative of its name it is now my “favorite Greek” restaurant in town. I will definitely be going back and recommending it to all my friends.

The owner George has great vision, The Favorite Greek is sure to be another culinary destination in downtown Peterborough.
