Loon Ho Restaurant

My wife hates Chinese but every once in a while she will suggest I get some for myself and she will have some rice. she pigged out on this and sent me back a week later to get some more.
Being empty nesters it would be nice if they had 1/2 orders

The food was very good, however the service was not great. I ordered take out and it took a long time for someone to come to the till so I could pay. Everyone was busy, perhaps they need more staff.

We have been happy here in the past, this meal was bland. Three of the dishes had no flavour, maybe the cook was sleeping, it's too bad as we won't return now.

I love their food! Probably the best in Peterborough. Never tastes old and dry like some places. I enjoy how it is quiet and a nice place to have dinner.

Wow. It is a terrible disappointment the service was so bad, as the food is really amazing. I cannot visit this restaurant again, however, due to the horrible customer service. I ordered food for delivery and was told there was free delivery over $25. I was at $23 they said, so I upped my order to get free delivery. By the time it got to my door, it was around $50. They had miss-quoted my price, and would not do a thing for me. I phoned the restaurant, and my delivery driver was super rude and pissed off as he had to wait due to their mistake. They offered no apology or solution, except they would take one item back and refund it if I personally came in with my card! They had no clue how to properly use the refund option on the credit machine, and were so rude to me it soured my entire evening. Wow!

Above average for small town fare, service was quick and buffet was fresh. Also nice that it was open on a holiday!

Delivered fresh & hot in a reasonable time. Chicken & shrimp slightly overbreaded and they forgot the sweet & sour sauce which made them a bit unappetizing/dry, but overall, very good food. Beef lo mein was particularly good!

it's the best westernized chinese food i've ever had.

The food was fantastic. We were really happy with the order and it was ready for pick-up the minute I arrived.

I had an absolutely horrible customer service experience with this restaurant. Was told the delivery would arrive in 1/2 hour. After 1 hour 10 mins i phoned and inquired about what to do if the food arrives cold - the owner was very short and rude with me stating that it is not their concern once the food leaves the front door. The food arrived, cold & spilled all over the bag. The egg rolls were covered in some kind of wet, watery sauce and the paper bag was all ripped apart and dripping wet. We paid the delivery guy and proceeded to call Loon Ho back. THe owner was completely distasteful on the phone stating that we could arrange a 15% discount off our next bill. She also stated that if we don't want the discount then there's nothing else she can do. She rudely stated that she wouldn't mind losing our business nor anybody elses in this town. We decided to just keep the food and cut our losses. Then we realized the order was missing things, like sweet and sour sauce. Keep in mind IT IS VALENTINE"S DAY and it's now been 2 hours that this food has been sitting around. We phoned Loon Ho back and the owner stated that the delivery man would pick up the food and we would get a refund. Time passed by and the delivery man had not yet arrived so we continuously tried to phone Loon Ho. We find out they are closed. Finally we ended up calling the delivery company and they arranged our refund and took the food and gave us our money. We were extremely un satisfied with the treatment that the owner of Loon Ho gave us and we felt be-littled and of no concern to her. In closing, we really enjoyed burger king tonight and thank god for those employees who know how to make it right and be kind :-)
