Long Island Fish & Chips

I have ate there a number of times and the food is top notch. My girlfriend is a big fish lover and loves Glen's halibut and the home cut fries she especially loves the new Chef's special which has everything she loves the most fish,fries,perogies,shrimp and scallops. I had the liver because I never get it at home it was so tender that I could cut it with a fork. We highly recommend this place as the food and service is always top notch and Glen the owner always comes out to say hello and ask if everything is ok.

we saw there was a new menu starting june 1st and of course since I like the food and service my guests and I decided to go out for lunch. The new menu is awesome such a variety to choose from. Best of all the fish and chips are still on board.

Had a great night, nice light batter, more like a thin non- greasy crust . hate that thick greasy batter. healther fries with the skin HAND CUT!!!. The service was great. We'll be back soon.

We have seen this place in the top ten in Peterborough, however upon arriving the place was dirty, the floors were dirty and the food was awful don't know how it ever got in the top 10. Serving sysco frozen food and I did call and asked for british style fish with crisp beer battered coating - nowhere near that, the fries were cut with the skins & dirt & rotten eyes

We had a great dining experience. We have eaten there before and decided to bring our out-of-town guests with us. We were delighted (once again) with all the meals ordered as well as the service with plenty of smiles.

Our first time eating here was fine. The second time was a disaster. Not the food but the service.
The waitress commented on the quanity of our order not once, not twice but 5 times.

I will not return due to service the food was very good. Just be prepared for a lecture if you are hungry.

We are a little disappointed, based on other reviews we expected great fries and fish. The Halibut was good but over cooked. Little flakes of semi-burned batter and the fish was quite hard and dry. The fries were ok,... just ok. Same with the cole slaw... This restaurant was a step up from mall food, but not by much. Service was excellent and based on the server's recommendation I had the home made rice pudding, which was excellent!
We ate there late on Saturday evening, and I suspect that may be the reason it was not excellent. Its right across from a big university and so I expect they do better at lunch. We might try them again during the day.

The two big pieces of halibut were in an awesome light batter served with homemade tartar sauce. A generous heap of terrific fries which went great with vinegar , and a ceasar salad to start and finished off with an ice cold coke. Service was prompt and very friendly. We'll be back!

I recommend the lunch special. You get 2 big pieces of fish with fresh cut homemade fries and a Caesar salad which I should say is up there with the best Caesar salads in Peterborough.

We go there often, and the staff remembered us after the first time! They always make a point to chat with my young daughter. Food is always fast, tables and floor always clean, order always correct. Great sandwich, real chicken breast! Best fries around, nice and fresh cut. Only thing I would change is that the nuggets were dark meat, which most kids aren't partial to.
