Hunter Street Cafe

Great food and affordable prices. It has a really nice welcoming feel to the restaurant. It seemed like there were a lot of regular customers in. Very warm staff.

The Hunter Street Cafe is a great little restaurant located in the East City of Peterborough. After hearing many great reviews from friends I finally decided to check it out. The food was outstanding and the service was great. I hope to return soon!

I really liked this place, it's small and cozy; i just loved the atmosphere. The food very nice, although the portions could be a little bit more generous.

The price is reasonable and the service was excellent. If you want to go out and spend some nice and relaxing time i recommend this place.

After hearing good thing's about the place, we decided to try this restaurant, but were extremley disapointed. Although it was neat to watch the cook, and the service was good, for what one paid for was way out of proportion to what one recieved. I ordered simply eggs, and toast, while having to order the homefries for extra because they were not included. The bill ended up being a bit less than $20 for 2 people which included 4 eggs, 4 slices of toast, probably about one large potato, two slices of tomato, two coffees and a little bit of butter. Basicaly it was a rip-off. It was a decent breakfeast, but you could get just as good as a breakfest for half the price and more food from other places.

Well, I have been to the Hunter Street Cafe on many occasions. Everytime the food has been absolutely wonderful!! There is a wide variety of foods on the menu, and they are sure to delight any diner... The service is also wonderful and prompt. I love the open kitchen experience. This restaurant is surely the hidden jem of Peterborough! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Hi guys!! WE have been before (french toast with Grand Mariner) mmmm and decided to return for a healthy breakfast..The food here is innovative and fresh with much selection...a real find!!

Excellent restaurant - just wish it was located in Ottawa so that we could visit more frequently! Have enjoyed several meals here and all have been excellent. Very good selection of reasonably priced meals with variety of ethnic influence in a friendly casual dining area with open kitchen. Food choices to keep all types of diners happy including the vegetarians, meat eaters, and picky eaters in our party. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.
