Gerti's

A very enjoyable meal indeed. Really nicely prepared and presented. The only thing that lets Gerti's down is the fact that it is very run-down looking (splits in some of the seats etc....)
The place needs a bit of a makeover so that it is on a par with the standard of the food. Overall we were really happy we chose to go there.

Gerti's is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. I will give some advice to the people who have had a bad experience. The specials are the best things at Gerti's. I also much prefer the chef during the week as he cooks some of my favorite dishes. They have some of the best vegetables I have ever tasted. I also like the Carbonara and the fish and chips on the menu. If you get a chance to try the creme brulee in whatever form that they have made that day, it is great. The service is also very attentive and friendly. I went on my birthday and was treated as part of the family.

We came to Gerti's with high expectations, because it had been recommended to us by a family member who had wings. We were disappointed. The fish was fine, but the chips were soggy, greasy and limp. The meatloaf had been sitting too long and was very hard and dry. The sauce they served on the meatloaf helped to moisten it a bit, but it was quite dry. Further, the meatloaf was way too salty. At 7:30 PM this place should have been geared up to do well, but it did not. There's no excuse for chips to be that greasy and limp and the meatloaf was obviously not fresh. We will not repeat.

I've had an awesome lunch at Gertie's quite a few times now. I couldn't believe that I hadn't heard more about it! Great food, great service, and my friends all enjoyed their meals very much as well......I recommend Gerties to people that ask about a great place to eat...

The food is excellent! Ingredients are fresh and flavorful, and the portions are generous. There is a wide range of appealing entrees to choose from. Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and attentive. Truly an exceptional restaurant for lunch or dinner.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times and keep going back. Half the time, we don't even look at the menu because we know what's good. All the food we've tried has been excellent.
The waitresses are usually pretty friendly (The girl with the dreads is definately favourable). Great for any occasion, my boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday there..
Although, I attempted a reservation and was told it would not be a problem for the two of us. We arrived and the place was packed, we had to wait about 45 mins. That was our only let down.

One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Amazing restaurant.

Both dishes were well prepared and served promptly. The food here is excellent. We also got a free banana creme brulee as we had just got engaged. This is one of our favourite restaurants.
