Charlotte Anne's

We made reservations for a Saturday night and were escorted warmly to our seats. The waitess was friendly but seemed a little inattentive - she mixed up the drinks and the meals. One of our party ordered a half fries/half salad with his meal but received a full salad. When we informed her she acknowledged her mistake and provided a full plate of fries at no charge - this we appreciated.

The meals came quickly and the food was good. Everyone loved the caesar salad - just the right amount of garlic. The creamy tomato soup was velvety. The fish and chips received full marks - good portions, tasty halibut, light batter, good fries, not too greasy. The lasagna was tasty, but would be better if it had slightly less cheese and a little more tomato sauce.

I went there in october I believe and it was a very nice place, very warm the decor and temperature wise.
My boyfriend and I were at a bit of a loss considering there were no signs other than the front door.... so we sat at a table and waited a bit, I suppose the servers kept thinging the other server had us taken care of, long story short it should be better clairified about seating arrangements.

The food was hot and delicious and worth the wait.

My previous employer, who is now retired, and I just went to Charlotte Anne's today for lunch and I must say I am absolutely appalled and very very disappointed with the terrible service.
We arrived at the Restaurant at 12:30 pm and were told there was a large party and there may be a little longer wait, but not too bad. This was fine.
We then very diligently ordered our lunch and drinks immediately to avoid any further delays, as I was on my lunch from work. I also ordered one sandwich to go to be taken with us when we left, and made that quite clear to the waitress. We sat for approx. 45 mins. thinking where is our lunch, when we starting seeing people around us receive their lunch, who had arrived after us. I approached the waitress, not once, but twice and was told she would check and it was on its way. Finally after 1 hour and 15 mins. I then went up to the kitchen and enquired about our lunch. Needless to say it was sitting on the counter, all packaged up to go, all three orders that is, NOT JUST THE ONE THAT WAS TO GO. The waitress actually had the nerve to ask me if we wanted ours on a plate. I said you have got to be kidding. We have been sitting for 1 hour and 15 mins. to only learn that our lunch, which we were to have at the restaurant, was packaged up and sitting on the counter. Well needless to say, I said no, I would pay for it and we will take it to go. From my standpoint, what other choice did we have. There was an apology of sorry for the mixup but no offer of any other compensation.
I said this has happened to us twice at this restaurant and that we would definitely NOT BE BACK.

Tonight was the first time I had been to Charlotte Anne's, but I'd heard MANY good words about them.

Glad we went! The food was served in VERY large portions, and at better than reasonable prices. And it all tasted very good!

For sure will be going back!

The salmon tasted like they have poached it in the dishwasher... no flavor AT ALL
the rice seemed like it had been reheated in the microwave a few times....
Im a coffee drinker. The coffee tasted like water (seriously)+ sugar + cream. make it stronger please....
maybe it was a bad day ... but i left the restaurant very unsatisfied. i love vegtables, but i was not interested in eating the veggies that came with my salmon.... They looked like they were cooked the week before.

Nice place if you're looking for a comfort food type meal.

It's nothing fantastic, but definatley good and worth visiting! I take my dad here when he visits, he really enjoys it.

Absolutely wonderful food!! The vegetable lasagna had an incredible amount of cheese and was just awesome! Fish was Great! nicely battered (not too thick) and huge portion. Their fries are fresh cut and always good. Caesar salad is super garlicky and homemade. Really great if thats how you enjoy your salad. And the brownie cheese cake was AMAZING!! The best cake I have ever eaten. The service is great. Really kind servers.This is one of our favorite restaurants.

This is a FANTASTIC PLACE! The atmosphere is gorgeous, and the proces are very affordable, as I am a student. My Family and I go there all the time, and It's beocme a favourite for me and my boyfirend as well. The service is great, and the portions are insanely larage. No matter what I order I always have lunch left over for the next day! Love, love, love it.

I have been here many many times, and really enjoy that they now have takeout. What originally drew me in was the ceaser salad and how garlicy it is. This is not for everyone, but for me, I love it. The fries are also extremely amazing. Everytime I get the vegetarian croissant there are different varietys of veggies on it, and it is always a great surprise to see what is on it. I often come here in large groups and everyone always enjoys their meals. I've even gone for breakfast and loved it. It is my go-to meal, and I always take my out-of-town guests here.

Servings were very large - lots of doggy bags. Everybody liked their meals but nobody was amazed by them. Good value. Homey atmosphere. Caesar salad very garlicky.
