Burnham Mansion

Terrible place to eat, chicken was dry, fish was over cooked, vegetables limp and unseasoned, steak was way over done everything was cold. Serving staff weren't very knowledgeable and not at all friendly. What kind of people own this place???

Service very slow, like short staffed, but the food was well done, like dryyyyyyyyy. I like meaty moist ribs, not dry. Wife had chicken, dry too. Last time we had the chef's choice and it wasn't great thought we would give it another chance. Never again!

I've been to the Mansion a few times before but not for about a year--I don't know if they've had a chef change, or ownership change but something has gone wrong. The last time I was there I had one of the best dinners ever--everyone in the party's order was spectacular. On the strength of that I ordered the porterhouse steak again; this time it was grey outside, pink inside and tasted and looked like it had been cooked from frozen, the ceasar salad (that was fresh and lemony and garlicky before) was mushy with too much renee's extra garlic dressing or some other commercial yuck. The decor is nice but it can't compensate for the ripped off feeling of paying $27 dollars for a tasteless minute steak passing itself off as porterhouse!

We took my mother in law here for her birthday because it had been recommended. The staff was very helpful and attentive. We loved the decor and the live piano music was a nice touch. However, we were each a bit disappointed with our food. The ribs were mushy, the chicken was rubbery, and the salmon had a sauce that just didn't seem to work. I wish the food had been better because I really liked the place and would like to go back. We may try again--just in case the chef was having an off night.

We feel for Sunday brunch you can't beat Burham Mansion.

lovely decor, excellent service, and amazing prices...and we definately will return for dinner, although we are from out of town.

We had a great time and the Burnham Hourse is worth the money. we would go back again.
