Review: Excellent food, service, a real delight!
Nathaniels is definitely the best dining experience in Owen Sound. Of all the restaurants I've experienced this one is tops for flavor, service and atmosphere. The staff is very personable and helpful, and the meals are always above my expectations. If you're looking for a restaurant that can deliver an exciting menu, with food cooked to perfection this is the place. Whether you're a fish or steak lover, Nathaniels chef's can surprise you with their sophisticated flavorful menu items. I'll definitely make a special trip back next time I'm in town.

Review: absolutly one of the best places I have ate, First time there, thought we might need reservations(reccommened) but got a table before heading to theatre. Staff most cordial, excellant food, didn't feel rushed. GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY BOTH OF US. I own a business (not in Owen Sound) and was recommended by a staff member. I think she deserves a raise. As for the local gossip , PLEASE PEOPLE , GET OVER IT, AND GO THERE TO EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOURSELF. you won't be dissappointed.

Review: I have eaten at Nathaniels a number of times in small groups and large and each time I have been very happy with both the food and service. While I too was dissappointed by the situation a few months ago , I believe there may have been more to it than the media provided us with . While I think the establishment could have actually capitalised on the actions of their employee , they may have made a bad decision which I bekieve they have since apologised for. We can all make a mistake ; the trick is whether we learn anything from them. The bottom line is that this restaurant serves very good food most of the time , provides good service and a lovely atmosphere which leaves them head and shoulders above most of the other establishments in Owen Sound.

Review: We decided to go to the restaurant despite all the bad press it has been getting lately. We really don't agree with how things were handled earlier in the year, but we really wanted to give the owners and restaurant a chance. However, issues aside, we just weren't 100% keen on the food. It was good, but average. We may try again in the near future.

Review: We have managaed to make the hour and a half trek to Owen Sound for the past five years for our annual dinner out with friends. Soemtimes if we are lucky we managae to get their twice a year. Now since moving to Barrie it will take about two hours but we still intend to go. Wouldn't miss it. We can never say enough for the staff performance, the food and the atmosphere. They also make the best Tom collins and Ceasar going. The steaks are supperb. The garlic bread is to die for as well as the other deserts. Try the cocoanut cream pie. Too bad about the publicity. Too bad most who have given these guys a bad rap didn't wait a little longer to realize that it was trumped up both by Fearnell and the media. Did anyhone mention that Mr Hilliard has lost several family members to cancer and not only routinely donates to the Cancer Society but to many other organizations in the Owen Sound area as well. Keep your chin up guys. You and your staff are to be commended. Miss Fearnell will just flit form one job to another as she has always done trying to gain some notoriety. Her purpose would have been better served had she ""cut""her hair and donated it which seems to be something the younger children are wisely doing. At least then it can be made useful. Shaving a head and throwing it away to myself and several others in our survivor stage do not wish to be reminded or made a fool of. It does our hearts well to see that it is being put to use to help improve someone's self esteem. But then some of these younger children seem to have more astute ideas that some of us older hotheads and blowhorns. Good luck to all cancer survivors. If your appetite is up to then I suggest you take yourself off (with a reservation of course) and have an enjoyable evening at Nathaniel's. I can guarantee you that you will have a very enjoyable evening.
- Order: New York and Filimignone. Some ordered Ribsand Chicken. Appetizers were great. WE are always served with a vareity of them.

Review: First time there our party was very impressed with the decor atmosphere and the staff. In regards to this incident with the waitress shaving her head first we all support the cancer society and anyone else who does what they feel that they can to support it as well., But before all these people wrote their reviews it would have been nice if they took the time to find out more about this issure before condeming someone. Did any of you find out whether or not the Restaurant and its owners have given and supported the canced society or that possible they have experienced close family members who have died with this terrible disease No if do not think any one of you took the time to find out any of this or that the person who caused all this heart ache for everyone was not as honest as she should have been. So before you make rash decisions make sure that you have all your facts straight. My family supports this restaurant as well as supporting the Canadian Cancer Society.
