Family Ties Tradition Restaurant

I am a papered chef and people need to realize even whenthey go to mikey d,s and it is busy they wait for a bit for there food . you come to a family restaurant when it is busy drink your coffee and be patient after all slow down and smell the roses with your family and friends you are there to enjoy their company as well as eat. all restaurants go through cooks and sometimes many of them. Thier resumes look good but there ability to cook sucks, If there is a problem the waitress will try to fix it. Karen the cook there now has been in the field for 30 some years and Jenne the waitress is excellant always a smile and good service so for those that had a bad experience you should go try it again

Well, let me just say I ordered the hot beef and it was great. I don't really understand what these negative comments are about. I moved back to the area in July and go at least twice a month. I think the service is great and so is the food :D
I'm thinking the ones writing petty and rude comments obviously have no idea how a restaurant works.
I have been a server for the last eight years and worked in many cities and provinces, and they all work the same way!
First of all the server tries to adress each table in a first come first served basis, so if 6 tables come in at once and your #5 it might take a little bit.... depending on how many staff the place has.So if your in a hurry and expect immediate service then may I suggest you go to McDonalds or another fast food joint! otherwise be patient and enjoy the company you are with.
Second of all the kitchen works the same way...soooo.. if a table of 10's order is ahead of yours there's going to be a wait.
I think the problem is that people seem to be in such a hurry these days not to mention a little self-righteous! I think the girls there do their best and I really enjoy the food! Besides where else can you get a breakfast for a little over five bucks?

What did Anne do, pay you a little extra to come on here and talk good about her place? Because there is nothing good or friendly about Family Ties Traditions.

1. The food is terrible
2. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to make bacon and eggs
3. The service is awful - I have never been so mistreated by a waitress ever, you work there ...so DO YOUR JOB
4. The place smells like smoke - non smoking?
5. Anne randomly comes in and loses it on her staff in front of customers - not very classy

I have been going to Family Ties even since I can remember but, I will never step foot into any establishment that Anne opens ever again. First of all - we got there, didn't get any service for about 15 minutes, they were a tad busy but you should be prepared for have lots of people in for breakfast on a weekend. Once I got my morning coffee we ordered food, a table came in sat next to us, received service right away it seemed as if they were friends with the waitress because of the amount of giggling and how many times she visited their table, 30 later, they have their food but where is ours? We didn't get it, the waitress came and said our bill was 5 more to go ... common 45 minutes for bacon and eggs? I have given this place many chances because it has been going down hill for years.

Why does the service suck so much? I can answer that for you. NO ONE lasts here, I've heard many nasty stories about what has gone on behind the closed doors of this place from past employees, you must be nice to your employees to make a business work and not rag on them for every little mistake they may have made.

Ask almost any of the regulars that don't show up anymore where they have went and their more than likely at grandma dars where we now go for breakfast on the weekends. It's sad yet very true. I hope Anne all the best in the future.

Let me tell you, their burgers are the fattest burgers I have ever seen and cooked perfectly. The fries and gravy are good. The food here is not the problem. Neither is the price. The hours is crap, the one family ties is only open til 3pm. The service needs help too. They need another waitress because the one they got is just too busy, I feel bad cause she needs help and having two of them would be a lot better.

Over all we enjoy eating at this restaurant..it is like any other resteraunt..you have no idea how busy you will be as every day is different..if it is busy you have to wait longer ..the girls always try to do there best and keep your coffee full when waiting..every one gets served in the end.So drink up and be patient.It is not a every day thing to wait for food..And if you are in a hurry get up earlier..

the food looked good tasted great..kids had colouring books..we got to enjoy meal and our coffee..over all a very nice breaky..

There was potatoe in my pancakes!! A few big chunks- the service was REALLY slow just to get THAT, and instead of offering another free- they said they'd make a new one???
