I've been there twice in the past 10 days - and I don't eat out very often!

I have tried: Almond Encrusted Chicken, Lamb burger, Chicken Babotie (they used to have an excellent Babotie-style burger that I guess wasn't as popular as it deserved), Peanut Butter Chocolate Silk Pie and most of their brunch offerings! Weekly specials start on Fridays. Brunch is served all week! It's true: weekday brunch with benedict, lemon ricotta pancakes and mimosas as well as ommletes, french toast and sandwiches called Bobby Mac (after the owner who's name is Bob).

Cute little patio in the summer. Great big windows and an open style kitchen.

The service is great and (thankfully) friendly to people with small children without letting the quality of your restaurant experience suffer. The older female server who said she had 2 children of her own was especially doting on my friend who brought her 2 week old along. We really appreciated Stoneface Dolly's welcoming child-friendly policy.

Those few grownup guardians who allow ill-behaved and disruptive children to run a-mock in restaurants give parents a bad name. As a young mom, I had trouble finding a good quality family-friendly option, other than Stoneface Dolly's! I go there all the time now with my husband, my colleagues and friends.

Excellent food, everything was fresh and flavourful. We were there on a Sunday evening, it was about 1/2 full and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend it and am looking forward to my next visit to try a different menu item.

The decor and ambience is really nice. The restaurant is a little noisy but that is simply because it is so busy. Staff are courteous and so is the owner who visited all of the tables himself to ensure that all was up to standards.

I had a lamb burger with a salad of greens and a potato encrusted goat cheese ball to top it off. The dressing was a light balsamic vinagrette and all was just to die for. The lamb was cooked perfectly and nice and juicy given that it was fully cooked as I expected it to be. the salad was fresh and the goat cheese ball, fabulous. I will definitely go back.

We both had the New Bobby Mac with mixed results. We're planning on going back because other item's looked promising. The people next to us ordered pancakes and were raving about them.

From the time we arrived to when we left, it was a great experience. Excellent service on a busy night. Food was served hot and vegetable were not mushy. Would go again.

One of the best places in Ottawa. Food is exceptional and service is great.

Breakfast at StoneFaced Dolly's is a great treat. I find the price appropriately reflects the quality of the food and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Bob, the owner, came and sat with us for a while and chatted asked if we liked the food. My wife and I go to the restaurant once every few weeks as a treat to ourselves for breakfast. Just can't get enough of that lemon diablo holandaise. You can not go there for breakfast if you are in a rush; there is always a short line-up after 10:30 am but trust me it is worth it. If the restaurant was bad...there would not be a line-up. Besides you usually end up chatting to someone in line about what they had last time and what they will try this week.

The food is always delicious, the service friendly, the menu unique: it combines a wonderful array of flavours, and is always surprisingly delicious.

The food was not that bad but when you have people in your party that are picky eaters they sure didnt have enough variety. And also, there was no children s menu. Some of the foods I dont even know what it was...also they dont take reservations and we were a party of 10 and had to wait 45 minutes for a seat. Never again. The waitress was not rude but not overly polite...just looked at us and never smiled. Will definetely not go back!! Also I found it very pricey for breakfast and no parking at all!!!!!!!!

The food was wonderful, even though the place was guite busy for a Monday night and only had one server on. However, as remarkable as the food was, the response to the following situation was even more outstanding. My friend choked, and in panic got up to leave the table, before we could reach her, the waiter asked her very quietly and calmly if she were choking, and if she could breathe at all. After ascertaining that she was indeed, and couldn't breathe, he then performed the Heimlich manoever and saved her life.
