This is one of my favourite lunch places in Ottawa. The food is quite good. You need to arrive at around 11:45 for lunch to get the best grilled chicken.
- Order: Chicken Salad - Actually a bed of fatoush salad with shawarma chicken on top plus all the normal sides like hummos/taboule/garlic sauce and finally tahini sauce on top.
- Fairly bland meat, OK side dishes, nothing...

Fairly bland meat, OK side dishes, nothing particularly special - until you count the scam mentioned in the other review... Much better places in the area.
(scores rather low to offset the helpful but stupid reviewer who indicated the scam but put all scores at top value... that's as silly as those who quickly praise a restaurant but leave all values at 1.)

Debit Card Scam at Shawarma Queen

Ottawa Police are reminding you to protect your PIN after they busted a debit card scheme.
Investigators say customers using their debit cards at the Shawarma Queen restaurant on Bank Street had their cards stolen and replaced with the same bank card belonging to someone else.
The stolen debit card was then used to make fraudulent cash withdraws and purchases.
28 year old Zaher Houraibi is facing 25 fraud related charges. - Order: Be Careful!
