Sante Restaurant

Santé Restaurant blew us away. The service was excellent, as was the food. Service was fast and friendly, and the food was some of the most flavourful I've had in a restaurant to date. We're really looking forward to going back again with friends. Don't miss this place - It's amazing.

This restaurant has great potential, but in the end was disappointing. The location was great with views overlooking a busy intersection in downtown Ottawa. However, the service (and the food especially) left more to be desired.

The ladies serving were very nice, but it did take time to get their attention. However, it was the food that was the most disappointing. The steak was cooked wrong (asked for medium rare, and it came as medium well). The steak was tender, but aged too much where it tasted powdery (like the steak I make at home!). And the Siam shrimp tasted like a meal I would make at home in a hurry...not something to expect from a high class restaurant. The food must get better for me to return. Also, the restrooms are quite disappointing considering the high class artwork hanging on the walls and the fine dining atmosphere presented. Just visit the restrooms..you'll know what I mean.

The best part of the dinner? ..... was the appetizer bread! Yummy bread! The oil and vinegar was also lightly salted so it tasted great!

It took forever to get waiter's attention even before we ordered.The food came late,the order was wrong. The food were served cold and tasteless.Very poor service & unprofessional.We will never go back there again because of the horrible & awful service & the bad attitude of the manager who simply did not care.The restaurant should just be closed or fire the staff and start over! It was not well spend money for a fine dining right in the heart of downtown Ottawa.

The service was great and we really loved the food! We would definitely go back again, and it's a great place to bring out-of-towners!

The food was delicious and the view was great. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner for two or any special occasion.
