The variety of food is excellent. The butter chicken is usually excellent but was less than fresh last night. Our teens love this place! It is their top choice for restaurants always. Our veggie daughter loves the number of selections for her appetite. The quality of food can vary but overall it's not bad. The service is usually quite good - seated right away, cold water topped up often, and friendly too. The bathrooms are disgusting - we simply plan a trip to a bathroom elsewhere following our meal.

The best Indian buffet I've found in Ottawa.
Fair price, prompt service, great variety, and the food is delicious. I have tried 4 other Indian restaurants and just keep coming back here. It's the best all round I have found so far.
If you think I am being too generous tell me which restaurant is better and I'll try it and judge for myself.

I think this place because they have a great variety of stuff, but the quality of the food isn't that great, especially the meat dishes. The mini samosas are the best though, when the guy the guy that makes them isn't on vacation..

Vegetable dishes are rather good, but the meat dishes are much less than satisfactory being tough and of poor quality. The service is rather indifferent.
Everyone should make the descent to the washrooms. The area is worn and filthy. It is "interesting" to have seen a bloody container on display in an open room off the hall. This makes one very suspicion about the hygienic standards of this restaurant.

My boyfriend and me went there several times but each time the experience gets worse...the last time we ate there made us not to visit again...there was roaches along the seating areas, one of the waiters spilled water on our table, and never came to wipe it out. They were at the other end of the room, not payng ant attention to the customers and at the end make u obligated to tip them for nor service. The only reason we went there so many times was we both were craving indian food and at that time none other buffet was open. Overall...an unhygienic and bad service restaurant.

I love this restaurant. I have gone there time and time again, and the variety of food is amazing. I don't know the names of the Indian dishes very well, therefore the buffet idea works great, and they certainly have many, many choice. The food is (almost) always fresh, hot and tasty. The service is usually friendly and prompt as well. If you are going right at 12 noon, and you are tight on time, better make reservations.
The only negative experience I had however was on this particular day. We went there for lunch at 1:30, a little later than usual, and discovered that it was not the best idea. Apparantly this restaurant closes at 2 and re-opens in the evening. Although there were customers in this restaurant at 1:30, many of whom were still very much eating, the food at the buffet was neglected, cold and the main dish, the rice, was almost all out. However, when asked for some hot rice from one of the waiters (not our waitress!), he brought out a very full plate of hot, delicious rice. And for the first time in this restaurant, I had a very rude waitress. She seems pissed off to be there, pissed off to have to serve, and simply looked angry. Although all she was required to do was to bring plates, napkins, and occasionally fill up our waters!! I just hope this is not the experience everytime someone walks in at 1:30, we cetainlly paid the same price as when walking in at 12:00.
