Les Grillades

Delectable cuisine and very accommodating owners. I went to this restaurant with high expectations after reading the recommendations and the quality still greatly surpassed my expectations. One of the most satisfying meals I've had in a while.

The quality of the food is amazing, especially the Kafta, Hommos and on occassions the rice. The charcoal cooked kafta compares with the best of Turkish & Iranian restaurants I've visited in the area.

The only backdraw for visiting the Le Grillade is the service part. The food takes long time to be put on the table depending on how busy they are (sometimes waiting for an hour+). The owners and staff are quite friendly, courteous and helpful. However, their level of service is no where near professional. The way the provide drinks, water...etc. The amenities are not that great. Sometimes the portions in the plate alike the Hommos and salads are very small in size.

I'd still highly recommend this restaurant for one of the best Kafta and Kebab in town, however, I'd also want to see more professional service in waitress/waitresses.

The food was delicious. We had meat patties as an apetizer. Everything was fresh and hot off the grill. Excellent!

With the amount of Lebanese shawarma restaurants Le Grillades serves a good array of other great tasting Lebanese foods, shawarma is only part of our diet. We love our fresh veggies and beans, shawarma is only a small portion of our great levintine cusine.

The food overall is very good, especially the grilled, chicken. The chicken is marinated in herbs and garlic and the grilling results in a wonderful flavour. Be sure to try the egplant and okra dishes. The lamb dishes are also done very well.
The food is fresh.
Service is friendly and accommodating.
Decor is very plain but functional.
Definitely a must try if you are in the area. Once you've tried this place, it will become a Lebanese food favourite.
And the owner trusts you to pay at the end of the meal if you are a returning customer.
Oh, and there is also the usual standard Lebanese fare.

Best Lebanese lunch in Ottawa, and amazing take-out meals for dinner! Everything is fresh and tastes amazing. Their attention to detail is evident!

What a wonderful meal! We were delighted with the delicious meal prepared for us at Les Grillades. It is definitely worth a visit. Go with an empty stomach and the expectation of first class service and food to match.
