I'm not sure why people think this is such a poor restaurant. We wnt when it was freezing cold outside. It's a quaint italian restaurant. I would definitely visit it again. The food was great. They had the basic Italian foods but then had some interesting twists that we had never heard of before like veal with figs. It tasted awesome.
The service was good. It's a sit down restaurant and you can expect to wait to have your food made and served to you. But it is not unlike any other sitdown restaurant. I think we waited about 20 minutes for our food.
Being that it is in the old theatre is really cool. They have great pictures on the wall from local artists that you can buy and they make for great conversation pieces.
Yes the restaurant is a little noisy when it is full but what restaurant isn't. It's not so loud that you can't hear yourself talk.
The tiramisu was so light but creamy. It was the best tiramisu I've ever tasted.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
- Order: appetizers for two, calamari, beer, veal and figs, veal and shrimp, margherita pizza, prosciutto pizza, dessert wine, tiramisu

The only reason we went here was because we had a coupon. They seated us in a table we couldn't really even reach, surronded by noisy drunk dinners. We asked to switch and were brought to another small table right next to the door. No privacy and it was freezing cold from the door opening so much. We were told we could not switch to another table even though there were tons on the main floor and on the floor above. Instead we sat in our winter jackets with hats and mitts on! Not accessible for such a nice location.
Service was slow and hard to get. Food was ok but nothing to rave about considering the price. Have more coupons for this restaurant but will not be returning because of the expensive price and poor service.

I usually find Italian food to be too rich and greasy, but the dishes I had here weren't too bad. The food is good, but nothing exceptional. It's better than the Italian food chains like Eastside Mario's, but not as good as the smaller Italian restaurants run by mom and pop. Portion sizes are satisfactory, not too big, but not too small. The restaurant is a little noisy and not well lit.

Other than the lack of A/c, the food was AMAZING. Had chk parm and it is top two.
I would have preferred the a/c to be higher. They had a sign on the door saying something stupid about David Suzuki and the air conditioning. When I go out I don't wanna sweat in the food. Regardeless what Suzuki says. - Order: Chk parm and wine

The food wasn't terrible, but for the price you're paying, I expected a bit more quality. The service was horrible. We waited 20 minutes for drinks, and after we were done eating, another 15 minutes before the waitress would come by to give us the bill.

The only problem was having to sit upstairs where it was hot, hot, hot and when I asked them to turn on the ceiling fans (2) was told they didn't work (!?). So either fix the fans or provide portable fans. The rating otherwise would have been much higher.
- Order: We ordered a couple of appetizers to share - salad, mussels. Caesar salad was very good, mussels were small but sauce was good. We had different linguine dishes - pesto, pomodore. All were very good, but the house dessert, a lemon tiramasu was awesome!
