I can't believe my eyes and ears how a so called manager could belittle a staff on the floor in front of customers. He was calling her rude and swearing to her up in her face pointing his finger. It isn't the first time he has spoke to one of his staff in such a manner on the floor. He is rude to other customers as I have heard in the pass but today was the last call. I will be letting my follow friends know how he is. I will be calling the labour board on this man. Someone has to speak up for these girls.

Food was disgusting. Ordered a platter of mixed appetizers. They were very greasy. I had liver & onions. The liver was so tough and hard, that I could not eat it. My friend had shrimp alfredo and it arrived as cold as just taken out of the refrigerator. Service was handled rudely. And entrance into the restaurant is terribly dangerous for those in wheelchairs or scooters.

Restaurant is outdated inside. Servers not very friendly. Food was horrible. Chicken dry and fries were freezer burnt. The people I went with did not like their meals either. We will NOT go back!

WHEN A CUSTOMER TELLS YOU YOUR DESSERT IS SOUR AND THE CREAM IS HARD LIKE THE WALL YOU DO NOT CHARGE THEM FOR IT. THE PLATES ARE BIG BUT THE FOOD IS NOT GOOD.
SERVERS DO NOT REFUND FOOD THAT IS SOUR SO DON'T GO. THEY ONLY LOOK TO MAKE THE BILL BIGGER SO THE TIPS ARE BIG. THIS RESTAURANT DOES NOT CARE BECAUSE OTTAWA IS A BIG CITY AND THEY THINK THEY WILL BE THERE FOREVER. WELL YOU KNOW WHAT NOTHING LASTS FOREVER. I WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN. YOU DON'T HAVE THE CLASS TO GET ANYMORE MONEY THAT I WORK HARD FOR. - Order: FOOD THAT WAS SOUR

If you want to go out with your children for a harrassment free dinner, do not go to Biggs Deli and Bar. It is not the customers you need to look out for, or even the servers, it is the manager. He is a right down jerk. The dirty looks and snide remarks I got from him as if having our 3 year old out for dinner at his restaurant was such a burden on him was constant and rediculous.
And when he heard me telling my huband about it, he turned as if he was going to come back and face me on it, like a thug ready for a fight. He ruined the nice atmosphere our awesome server had tried to establish. Food was excellent, service was fast and we were lucky to get the friendly server, but as for having my family with me, the experience turned from pleasant to peturbed. He even looks greasy. yuck! Going for dinner at 4:30 on a Sunday night when there are not many customer yet and you have parents willing to spend money for their child to eat instead of sharing with them, they should be gratful not rude.
We originally had reservations about going to this place and now it is confirmed we will not be returning unless we don't have our daughter which will probably be never. If we get to go out without child, it will be a nicer spot than that for sure! - Order: pizza, lasagna and philly cheese

The food was okay I have had better. The prices were resonable and the help was great but slow.

Great Food! Huge plates! Servers were excellent, friendly and most of them all had great attidutes. Especially when you have four children under the age of 6. They were extremely busy on this Sunday and they waitress/server didn't miss a beat. My hats off to them all for the great food and service

I'm a believer!
Their smoked meat spaghetti is the best. I've had the similar dish in a few other restaurants, mostly in quebec, but this is the best, by far.
Not only is the serving more than generous, the taste is terrific.
Quality & quantity!
As an added bonus, Sunday is 1/2 price pasta night. The above dish comes in at $7. Best deal in town.
Bring an appetite! - Order: Bigg's spaghetti. It's spag covered with meat sauce & smoked meat, then covered with cheese & baked.

This is a very busy breakfast spot. It was two thirds full at 8.00am on a Saturday. The service was good and you didn't have to ask for coffee refils as they came automatically. I love eggs benedict, but I want real hollandaise sauce. This tasted like a mix. I don't mind paying for it, bug want it authentic. Also, is there no such thing as boiled potatoes, cut up and fried on the grill anymore? The " home fries " I got were deep fried and I am not a big fan. the portions though were large. Now the best for last is that there was a very large
fruit salad on the side of my plate consisting of bananas, kiwi, strawberries, melon, and I think pineapple. It was awsome. The eggs benni are in the $10.00 range. Would I go back? yes.
But I wouldn't order the eggs benedict again. - Order: eggs benedict with ham

Excellent breakfast. Always great fresh fruit (where do they find it in the middle of winter?) Excellent service. Best all day breakfast in town.
