Churchill's Pub

Nice lady serving us, very prompt. I could hear her tell the cook twice that I wanted my steak medium rare. It was well done, very thin and dry with lots of gristle. I'd swear it was flank steak and it didn't even cover the size of the burger bun. Asked for fried onions and got raw onions. Very tough and tasteless. Wife's souvlaki was okay, the tzatziki was kinda watery and not very tasty. Fries were average but not that special for what is basically a fish and chip shop with a bar added on. I didn't get the impression the fries were double fried.

They have the best fish in chips around by far. When i was pregnant i always wanted fish and chips and theres were the only ones that didnt make me sick. I hate coleslaw and theres is AMAZING!!!! when ever me and my guy have date night now we always go there!!! Awesome food... you have to check it out... Very friendly people too.

Sorry to hear about Donnie, but obviously the man has issues. Why would you go into a bar to order fish & chips & WATER....it is a pub/bar...the bulk of their money is made from the alcohol sold...but I have never had problems with service in Churchills its a great place, with great staff and great food. Too bad for you Donnie...maybe you should try the restaurant side next time.

Poor Donnie, I guess they didnt like you!! I'd serve the guy paying $14 for the beer to before you and your water. Please dont bother coming back. Anyway the food is the best, especially the wings, there better then Jacks, cheap beer, projection screen TV's, live music Friday's and Karaoke Saturday's, Dart League, Poker Nights... what more could you ask for, very friendly family and services... way to go Pete, Christine, Henrietta and mama, keep up the good work.... hey Donnie, theres always McDonalds!!!!

Churchills Pub is known for it's family owned and opearated homely personality. I love this bar, and look forward to attending it at least once a month. They also have karoake on Saturday nights, which draw one great crowd.

Anyone looking for good food, good service and a great night, defintely try Churchills!

I have been to Churchill's a few times and every time makes me want to go back again and again. The food is top notch and homemade which makes all the difference in the world!! It is nice to go to a family owned and run business and get quality food and service at a great price. I am sure if anyone goes they will feel the same. There is a reason they came in first runner up for the Durham's Wing Fest for the United Way and that is simply because they are the BEST!!!!

Sat down at the bar side of the restaurant. Waited for about 10 mins for a waiter to serve us. I didn't catch her name. She took our order, both food and drinks. Our drinks were, quite very simply put, water and we ordered a family order of fish and chips they have at the same time. Waited a good solid 15 mins for our drinks. Again they were just water. A regular (or should i call him VIP?) came in and sat at the bar, when our exact same waiter went and served him his Pitcher of beer. Once I confirmed that the pitcher she was pouring was for him, we got up and stormed out of there. I've been there once before and I will never return. If you can't serve us water before pouring a customer a pitcher of beer who came in 25 mins after us - I will not do business with you.

I know this place has the best fish and chips in town. I will not deny that. I do not like disrespectful service and that is enough to turn me off returing to your restaurant ever again.

I feel that these are the best wings that I have had in Durham, along with the best nachos and fish & chips. The Scotch selection I would think rivals any other pub in Durham, and perhaps may unofficialy be the largest.

The prices are very reasonable and the draught beer selection although a little limited there is a range from european to domestic to premium that would be enough to quench anybodies thirst and taste.

The servers are friendly and eager to please and always have a smile.

For these reasons I stronly recommend Churchill's Pub to satisfy your pub and grub indulgences.
