Salad Thai

I love Thai food, and I go to many different Thai restaurants, and this is by far the best I've found.

The green curry is the most delicious thing that I have ever eaten. I realize this might sound silly, but it is honestly the best dish that I have ever had.

You can't go wrong here.

Sorry I have given this place two attempts now and the food just doesn't match other thai such as Orchid Thai or Pad Thai.

We were referred to this restaurant by one of my colleagues. We looked at their menu on-line and ordered take-out. When we picked up, the individuals at the cash were exteremely friendly. When we got home and took one bite of our food...we were in heaven. This restaurant is by far one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to, and we've been to a lot! The food is always delicious and now we are regulars there. Defnitely recommend this place!

I agree with other reviews, that place outside is not as attractive, but it is very nice place inside and food is excellent. We ordered appetizer assortment and other dishes we shared. We could not decide which dish is the best. I usually don't give rating for any place, but I decided to do it this time, because I highly recommend this place.

The service was fairly fast and the host was nice.

We ordered take-out and when we got home to eat our food, there was a hair in one of the spring rolls. What made it even more disgusting was that it was a thick, broad, wavy pubic hair.

That didn't stop us from finishing the other items, though. The appetizers were good, although the plum sauce and the peanut sauce were watered down a tad too much. The curries were super salty but still fairly delicious. The dessert was not as good since the fresh mango that accompanied our sticky rice looked and tasted kind of rotten.

The food was okay but the pubic hair spring roll has staved off my return to this restaurant.

Lastly, I found that we didn't really get what we paid for (prices were a tad high). When we purchased the curries, our host asked us if we wanted to order rice with it. I was surprised at this because rice usually comes with the curry (especially when you're paying $9.99 for a portion). I was even more surprised to find out that the rice cost an extra $1.50. And, if possible, I was even more surprised to see the portion or rice (about a cup-and-a-half). Since we were really hungry, we decided to purchase one portion of rice for today and we just boiled some jasmine rice the next day to eat with the leftovers.

For anyone who enjoys this place, I would recommend trying Salad King in Toronto -- they're still top notch in terms of value and taste in my book (and no pubic hair spring rolls).

While this place may not look like much on the outside, on the inside you'll be surprised to find a quaint and authentic Thai restaurant. The food is fabulous with large portions and the service is friendly and personable. Also a great place for take-out!

All this time we just thought we weren't crazy about thai food.

If we'd only driven by it we never would have gone in, actually we probably wouldn't have even noticed it, so I'm glad I read about it here and decided to give it a try anyway.

We spent the entire meal making mmm noises and talking about how much better this was than the other thai place we've been. We spent the entire car ride home talking about what a great meal that was and who we were going to bring there.

I'd read the reviews here and everyone was saying how it was the best and I thought "Ok, it should at least be good." It was fantastic, really. I know we'll go back.

Wife picked up order. Food was excellent. Tasty and the portions large. Have ordered before and would order again. One of Oakville hidden gems.

second time ordering takeout. Food was flavorful, fresh and overall ver good.

The beef satay is overcooked. Shrimp Tom Yum Gong is kind of pricy, $6.95 each, but really good. The best dish is Seafood green curry. Pah thai is ok. But we did not order basil chicken, we ordered basil beef but that's OK. Service is so-so. The tall guy was very nice and helful, the younger man and the cute girl did not have their mind at work. Try to order with the taller young man who was very helpful.
