Oisi Sushi Japanese Restaurant

Have been a regular at Ami for a couple years now and let me tell you they have yet to let me down. We usually order nigiri sushi and rolls. The nigiri is the best you will find in Oakville hands down. The piece of fish you get is twice the size of the rice making it a very generous portion. I have eaten at at least 10 other sushi joints in town and prefer Ami nigiri any day. The staff is amazing and they even deliver. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and they are very happy to see you. Try it.

Who would have thought food could make you feel emotions?! We were visiting friends in Oakville one afternoon and decided to grab a quick bite before heading back home. We were not looking for anything to elaborate, just something small and fast. Of course if you mention sushi and think about it for a second you can't help but crave it. GPS found this place, two minutes from the highway and 5 from our friends place.... Perfect.

I wish I could remember the names of the rolls, Dragon roll? Dynamite? Appleby and Kamikaze?......I think. Pretty sure I renamed them all - Amazing, Perfect and yes.
The price is in the higher range but if you want to experience what I believe they have going on in japan, this is the place to do it.

The atmosphere is pretty good, really clean and modern. Not to busy, we noticed a lot of take out, only wish we lived close enough. The sushi chefs greet you on the way in and show their appreciation on the way out.

The service was pretty good, the waitress forgot our drinks on our second round but the food was to good to even notice.

Excellent Sushi, fresh delicious. Now I am spoiled. Excellent service, great prices. Sushi was served with salad and miso soup. The salad dressing was the tastiest I've ever had and the miso soup delicious.

"Date I visited on" should really be about 3 times per week. By far the best Japanese food I have had, being a self-confessed Japanese-food-aholic. I have eaten in every Japanese restaurant in Oakville, as well as in places in Toronto, New York, Florida, Vancouver, and Amsterdam, and I can say that Oisi Sushi has the superior fish quality, taste, and personable service that makes it a pleasure to dine there. Would highly recommend it to anyone, especially those who "think" they don't like sushi ;)

We love Oisi Sushi - great great food - delicious Tokyo rolls, love the spicy tuna crispy rolls and of course the okayami dragon roll. Also give the sea weed salad a go...surprisingly tasty - and very good for you. The people are warm and welcoming - Thanks Lucy and your staff for a great experience.

Food was fair, services was ok. I did not fell the warm Japanese hospitality you come to expect at traditional Japanese restaurants.
