We went to Lakeshore location for lunch one day because we wanted to have something simple.
Meat was tasteless and bland. I not a huge fan of huge portion of food but the amount of food was just too little for me to even get half full.
My husband usually eats more than I so he was very unhappy with how little he got and again his meat was tasteless. He originally wanted to order chicken shwarma but the waitress told him she sold out. But as we ate, we saw a couple of people ordering chicken shwarma and he was upset for that as well.
My son ordered kiddy burger and it came with meat patty in a pita bread and some fries he didn't get any sort of veges on his plate such as tomato slices and onion slices.
We adults payed each 15 dollars and got basically small amount of crappy food and we were really disappointed. We will never go there again.

This review is for the new location at 1027 Speers Rd, but there is no entry for it. Service was quick, but we all found our food was dry. Turned out they forgot to give us sauce, but we didn't notice until we looked around. They claim to bake their own pitas, but if you look closely at the menu, the "final baking" is done onsite (like the way Tim Horton's makes their doughnuts). That said, the pitas themselves were quite tasty, just what was in them could use some improvement. Portion size was average for lunch. Could have done to get some fries or something on the side. I overheard a server mention lunch specials to another customer, but our server didn't say anything to us.
Comparitively, Adonis is about a dollar more for their pita sandwich and the portions are much bigger and tastier.
At the time of writing they are awaiting their liquor license.

The oakville and milton locations for this restaurant chain seem to be lacking a competent business person to run them.
This must be the case as the locations in burlington and hamilton are wonderful.
I would never recommend the oakville locations to a friend. The food just tastes better at the burlington and hamilton locations.

No one should go there. I have ordered a kefta sandwich with salad and pineapple juice. They brought me a chicken burger and charge me for a kefta. I guess they did it because I don't look like a Mediterranean guy and they assumed that they can cheat me and I will never be able to know. The salad was without tomatoes. Only the drink was okay. Don't ask me about their service, the staff must tip me for accepting their terrible service

Is this a site for disgruntled employee's? I'm a regular and have yet to experience these ruinous claims. Can't beat the atmosphere and the service is great. Anyone who complains the price's are higher and the portions smaller must live under a rock. Keep it coming Montfort !!

The hummus appetizer was good, but only received 2 very small pitas to eat with a huge bowl of hummus. We asked for more pita, but were charged approx. $3 or so for 2 more small pitas. The kafta portion was good and tasted good, my husband enjoyed it. I found the Montfort chicken very bland and dry. I had to soak it in the garlic sauce in order to have any flavour at all. The service was only okay, we've definitely had better service. Our waitress would disappear for long periods of time without checking in on whether or not we wanted anything else. We've definitely had better mediterranean food in Oakville, therefore we will not be returning to this restaurant as there are better ones out there, who are even more affordable as well.

The Kafta was excellent. Even though it was somewhat pricey for the size. We thought the salad came with the meal when we ordered, but instead were charged another $8-10 dollars for a TERRIBLE "greek" salad. I don't know anyone who uses iceberg lettuce in a greek salad. OR that charges $8-10 dollars for a tiny salad with iceberg lettuce.

A friend from work recommended Montforts for Middle Eastern Cuisine for the last 3 years. We finally decided to go, and what a mistake it was. The Chicken Shwarma was served on the tiniest pita ever - no bigger then anyone palm, and it ended up coming without anything on it. This really made the smell waft out, and it smelled like a chicken barn. The waitress was no where to be found, so I ended up having to put mayonaise on the sandwich in order to finish it. This was hands on the worst middle eastern meal I have ever had. Compared to the middle eastern cuisine in Scarborough, the meal was a disgrace. Yuck!

When I was younger the portions were a good size, the food was fresh and the price was fair. Now the portions are tiny, the food is dry and bland and the price has increased. I'll go elsewhere next time for a decent shwarma!
