  • I had read on a number of Niagara Fall restaurant websites that this establishment was great in regard to the food and ambience...it was the worst dining experience I've ever had.
Right off the top, we had to wait 10 minutes for our server to come by our table, then another 10 minutes for our drink order to be placed, then another 10 minutes for it to come...talk about forshadowing...
When we eventually placed our order, my girlfriend had asked for extra onionswith her meal, and the elderly woman who took our order said that the"kitchen was very busy"...I looked around the room and saw there were 7 tables with people...if that's busy then that place has no idea what busy is.
I ordered the steak, my girlfriend ordered the Enchiladas...again, I had asked for extra onions for my girlfriend's meal, which he said he would bring...I could have grown my own onions before he would have come back with them...suffice it to say, the onions never came...
The steak was suppose to be medium, and it was quite hard to cut. The rice was soggy, and the beans were cold. The enchiladas were burnt, which the cook tried to hide with cheese smothered on top. My girlfriend is from Mexico,, and had studied to be a chef, so I know what Mexican food tastes like...my 3 year old niece could have made better food. There was absolutely NO FLAVOUR to anything...EPIC FAIL!
If there was a rating in the negative numbers, I would used that for my ratings...DEFINITELY THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. The owner should be ashamed of himself for putting a restaurant on a major tourist location. If I were visiting Niagara Falls for the first time, and I ate there, I would never visit the city again.
And by the way, when someone sits down in your establishment, it's normally good practice to acknowledge that they are there...a father and son were given menus...20 minutes goes by and no one...and I mean no one...came back to their table...I told the man to leave as fast as he could. If it wasn't for the alcohol in our drinks, we would have left just as quickly. No one should have to be subjected to that kind of experience.

We should have eaten at Rain Forest Cafe...at least we knew what we were getting...over-priced food that had flavour.

  • I thought this place was great. It is a simple and relaxing setup. The food was really good. The drinks were awesome. Nice place to go and relax before going out. Compared to all the other places around, this place was cheap. $3.00 for a draft beer. $ 4.95 for a Margarita. You can't beat that, expescially by Clifton Hills. I would highly recommend going there and getting the Nachos Grande and acouple margarita's, sit at the bar, relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

  • Order: Nacho Grande, Margarita's.

  • What the hell!! I hated this place. Who the hell has a 90 year old woman serving? the lady looked so gross. The food was overpriced and definitely disgusting. I ordered the fajitas and there were like 2 pieces of chicken in there. The margaritas were nothing to brag about. Definitely will never go there.

  • Not a large place and not a fancy place. Just a few tables and a bar. However, I really enjoyed the Mexican food. Portions were great. A little on the spicy side, but we cooled that off with dessert. The desserts were awesome. One tasted like long cinnamon donuts. The deep fried ice cream was not hot as I am accustomed to, but still good. The strawberry margeurita was not great. You get good value for the money.

  • Order: Chimichanga, Burrito, deep fried ice cream, other dessert not sure of name, strawberry margeurite and a mexican beer

  • Service was poor over an hour to wait for our food and the place was only 1/4 full. Salsa and chips you had to pay for and the salsa was dumped on top of the chips, so after a few minutes the chips were sogy! YUK!!! The Marguritas were very poor for $7 for a small. Since I was ther for about 2 hours with 2 small children we had to use the bathrooms way too often and they were GROSS!!!! Finaly the food came it the quality was very poor. So with 4 adult meals and only 2 drink (the rest were water) no deserts the bill came to $80. Not a good value in my book. If you come walking to this place I suggest you hide your money and run for the border!!!!!!!!!!

  • Being Mexican, the food was terrible. How can a Columbian cook prepare Mexican food. $14.00 for nachos? A half kilo of tortillas cost 1.25, deep fry them and 12.75 profit, pinche cabrones. A large Margarita $25.00 esta mierda

  • I went to this restaurant after reading great reviews about it. Frankly speaking, I was disappointed. The quality of food is okay, not extraordinary. Secondly, the prices are on the higher side. I ordered a fajita and it came with only lettuce and a small quanity of salsa. Sour cream/guacomole were about $4 each. And mind you the fajita cost nearly $20.

I guess considering the paucity of Mexican places in the area, the food is okay.

  • This was our find of 2006. We were looking for a place to eat in the falls, and just happened upon Taco N Tequila. We've since been back at least 5-6 times and I've loved it every time!!! For me, the sangria just sets the mood so I get it every time. Everything I've tried on the menu is excellent. I'm on my way back tonight cause we can't get enough of the place, and it's only a 45 min drive from Hamilton.

  • Order: Various: -sangria (fruit wine beverage) Best I've had outside mexico -nachos and salsa, very authentic tasting -taco soup, a nice spicy soup that is very addictive -chimichangas -floutas -tacos -other
