My husband & I went there for dinner, do not let the icky looking strip mall turn you off. As soon as we got in the chef/owner welcomed us, the whole place was spotless & fresh looking. We had service that was not rushed & came at a pace where you can really talk & enjoy the food. The sushi was the freshest we've ever tasted!,The portions & range of choices where wonderful even if you go with a person who is not into sushi they will not feel left out.We look very forward to going back heck, if we are driving we'd even order the take out.
- Order: iced tea, assorted tampura, kaze combo that came with salad & miso soup,7 pieces of sushi nigiri & spicy tuna, sakura combo 9 pc

Lunch for 2 June 2006, sashimi and yellowtail. Food 7 to 8 on 10-point scale. Seervice slow. Had to ask for tea twice to get any. Had to ask forsoup twice. Asked why slow, man behind counter said: "It's a nice day, we're relaxed." Loud elevator music, turned down a bit on request. Price/quantity ratio worse than our benchmark, 800 Dundas St E, Mississauga, which offers great value for money.

My name is Tim
I was there in March 5th 2009. My wife and I really enjoyed it, the sushi is very fresh and we do highly reccomend to any visitor this restaurant, you may feel strange in the first moment, especially because of the music, we were used to come in a Japanese restaurant and hear Japanese music in the background and in Shibuki Sushi we don't have that. Other than that it's really good Mr. Danilo is a great guy. We hope to be back. - Order: What ever you order is good!!!!

This place is busy and rightly so. Freshly made selections that could be considered ART. Been there several times, loved it all. If only they had more space. The Chef/Owners seem to really enjoy their business.

I used to frequent Shibuki quite a lot and had thought Niagara was blessed for having it! However the last time I went I had AWFUL sushi. The California roll tasted so bad that i spit it out. The crab tasted as if it had gone bad.
The Servers are always very nice. The environment of the restaurant could be better.
I tried Yugikuni and was pleased - Order: California Roll, Spicy Scallop, House Roll

The only reason why I didn't give this place the lowest rank is because the fish was actually fresh.
Last time we tried this place, it was closed, not sure if it was under renovation or they were on holidays, but when we visited Niagara Falls, we decided to try this place again based on the good reviews here.
Let me say that I was extremely disappointed. Here is a summary of my experience:
-The rice in the nigiri was undercooked and very hard, as if they pre-clumped them and set them aside, surprisingly, the rice in the rolls were actually fine
-Almost all of the rolls except for the spider roll had tempura batter in them, while used sparingly, it could achieve a very unique experience, however I had a feeling the restaurant used this to avoid having to put more fish/ingredients in the roll. The tempura batter was also cold and hard, indicating that it was cooked either earlier that day or even the previous day. As a result, the rolls were hard to eat.
-The spider roll was cold, similar to the tempura batter above, i believe that the soft shell crab was cooked beforehand and placed in the frig, this is especially bad in this case because the crab actually tasted very very fishy, indicating that it was not fresh at all.
-The miso soup we had was too salty, they obviously did not taste it, and there was insufficient water mixed in.
Overall our experience here was very bad, the only saving grace was that the fish was decently fresh, enough that the fish wasn't smelly. The scallops we had were decent.
Unless if you plan on ordering sashimi, I would not recommend this restaurant.
I've been to Yukiguni in the Niagara Falls area, and was content with the experience.

Their signature roll (the shibuki roll) is definitely something that you MUST have if you go to this establishment. Excellent EXCELLENT. Be warned though, this is a sushi restaurant where you're paying $8-10 per roll. We often go to $20 all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants and I say to myself "Wow... if this was Shibuki, my bill would have been $75-80."
- Order: Sushi
