Niagara-On-The-Lake Golf Club

WOW what a view!!!!! The only restaurant in NOTL where you are sitting right on the water. The food is fantastic, and the staff are great. It has been under a new owner for the last year and half and they did a lot of work to it (and it has paid off). There are three options for dining: casual patio right on the water, casual lounge to relax and watch a game, or in the dining room which is a little more formal. It really has the best of all worlds. It is also great to see the locals in there and you know how the saying goes, "if the locals go there, the food & service must be good!!". I would suggest going and trying it out for yourself!!

I had been with my family to this restaurant many times before and it wasn't so great. They have new owners/management and it is just what a golf club should be. They have a lounge section and a dining section. It is really nice to have a good meal somewhere you can bring the kids too without that macdonalds feel if you know what I mean. Beautiful view of the course and Lake Ontario. Now when people visit, we go there and I send tourists there all the time. so far no bad experiences. staff is attentive and friendly. The only thing I would change is more vegetarian choices but they will adjust things to better accommodate if you ask.

The menu is more expensive inside this restaurant. I would not classify it as inexpensive. On that note, you can cut the expense somewhat by opting to eat on the patio. This can be quite pleasant on summer days with the view of the water , golf course and Fort Niagara. The patio service however is slow whenever there are many diners, something to be aware of. They also do not stock enough of the special of the day, yet leave the sign posted outside. We wished to order the special at 7 pm but they were already out of it. I heard other diners nearby afterward requesting it also to be told it was unavailable. The menu could include a few more inexpensive items, that are no more than ten dollars. The food was good. Parking at this restaurant is not easy during tourist season. There is little parking and it must serve for the golf course as well and area businesses. It is a cheaper alternative to the restaurants on the main street other than the Stage Coach.
