  • The restaurant is centrally located right on the main street in Niagara-On-The-Lake near the town clock tower/cenotaph. A very nice covered veranda with tables out front offers views of the passers by, the quaint street, and the many flowers in summer. The veranda is heated in cool weather. I would prefer sitting on the covered veranda versus inside for the view, but also because the interior is dark and even the dining room area can be noisy and crowded in summer. So, when I grade the atmosphere as "great overall", I'm referring to the porch, not inside. I wouldn't rave about the menu options personally here as I'm not a big fan of seafood. There are exceptions though. For those with children, a kid's menu is available if requested. Many local wines are available here as well as imported (also beer). Business ranges from steady in spring and fall with customers to very busy in summer. Corks is popular with locals especially for the live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays (see their website for details). Also, they have a playhouse theatre on the second floor which regularly produces Rocky Horror Picture Show live on stage. I've not attended theatre here yet, but I've been dining at the restaurant just before the play let in to know that it is popular and I see it has returned again this year. The dining room restrooms are in the basement and this should be noted for anyone requiring handicapped main floor facilities. I don't believe there is an elevator to the second floor either for the Theatre aspect. Parking is on the street, free after 6:00pm (strictly enforced) or if you park one block over (Prideaux) parking is free. As with all restaurants on the main street, the one constant is that prices trend higher when compared to similar restaurants a little further away due to their central tourist location whether they are finer dining establishments or casual.
