Charles Inn Dining Room

Food was very good, tasted fresh and presented well. Room is okay to good, but it could be great. A little less lighting would hide some of the flaws. And what is up with that horrible bankette? It looks like it is out of the Brady Bunch kitchen! Spend a buck or two and make it exceptional.
Wine prices are leaning to the high side.

The food was burnt. Part of the salad was rotten, smelly. Bread was cold. Cofee was not hot, it was like hot water. The wine was quite expensive $14 for a glass. If they can not serve a proper food they shoul not keep it open for lunch or dinner. We can get better food at fast food places.

Food is superb. Best ingredients and flavors are well complimented by perfect cooking.

I give the food and service 10's, but only a 9 overall. This is because they show the restaurant online having this beautiful fireplace and ambience. When we were seated on the solarium, with loud wooden floors and wicker furniture, we quickly asked to be moved after ordering some wine. They obliged with no questions asked. An amuse bouche kept us going till an excellant meal arrived. Definately return....service was great.

We visit the Charles Inn frequently as it has both charm and absolutely wonderful meals. We have dined on everything from appetizers to desserts and always are delighted with the presentation, the size of the portions, and the scrumptious taste of our meals.
