Sushi Itto Japanese Restaurant

After doing some reviews for a sushi restaurant, we decided to visit Sushi Itto.
We had a la carte dinner, total bill was around $40 incl taxes (no tipping!!!).
We ordered 2 sushi, sashimi and maki combos which included miso soup with each combo, then we ordered vegie and shrimp tempura (taste was ok).
Tempura, sushi combos were served with delay and not a single Thank you -just nodding (what kind of service is this?).
At the end of our dinner i remembered that we NEVER got our miso soups. I asked a waitress to give it to us "to go" - and what she does is bringing us the soup in bowl to dine in:((((( Geez!
She understood our order just fine in the first place.
My husband and I will never go back to this sushi fast food restaurant!!!!
And tipping???? --> Forget about it!!!

Best Sushi Restaurant in Newmarket!!!

My girlfriend and I have been going to Sushi Itto for a year and a half now and love everything about it. We have attended at least 100+ times and will keep coming back every week. The food is to die for, Sashimi is always fresh and has a delicious flavor. Nigirizusi is as well, always fresh which is always served with a perfect amount of rice. The rice does not fall apart in your fingers which is a problem for some restaurants yet is not overly compact and sticky which allows for the rice to fall apart once in your mouth. The Makizushi at Sushi Itto additionally, fresh with a wide variety and is always amazing. Depending on what you desire, Makizushi is prepared in the styles of Futomaki, Hosomaki, Temaki, Uramaki; although they do not offer Oshizushi. The presentation of their Sushi is always simple, elegant and appetizing. The service from the chefs and waitresses is always amazing, polite and helpful.

In response to alexg, nothing is 'premade' at Sushi Itto, everything is made as it should be. The food arrives very quickly because the Chefs are efficient and the waitresses fast. Many Sushi places that are buffet style charge for uneaten Sushi; this is done to avoid waste as some people would just order whatever they felt like without regard. Sushi rice is meant to be served cold, so I do not know what you were expecting. Sushi Itto has always given generous amounts of portions per order and is not LESS than any other Sushi restaurant. I have never not received wasabi or Gari (as they usually come together). If by some chance you did not get any, its not very difficult to ask for some is it? Everyone is human, mistakes happen. You should have asked. Again, never had a problem with the Nori, regardless of what it was served with. The restaurant has many employees and are NOT all from the same family (although there is a good chance that it is family owned; it is not family operated/run on a day to day basis as alexg suggests). The statement's contents along with which the was it was worded is a complete insult and you should be ashamed for making false accusations.

This is a wonderful restaurant that we have gone to dozens and dozens and dozens of times (literally). We love the delicious food, the affordable price, the hospitality and many of the other wonderful aspects of Sushi Itto. I might see you one day I am there so much!

today i got the veggie tempura... wow, these people used one napkin to soak up an abundance of oil... it was so bad the tempura itself was beginning to go soggy. they gave me a very small amount of sauce (i dont know what it is, but its great with tempura) not even half full. the tempura itself was alright.

Excellent selection of all you can eat sushi. Amazing price, only $12 for lunch. I wish they were a chain.

friend order some kind of octopus that came with 3, 1.5 inch pieces of octopus for $5. ridiculous price

My husband and I love sushi itto! It's good food at a good price. The service has always been good. We have ordered platters as well, and have never been disappointed.

I love sushi itto! Very impressed with the food and service. One thing I would change is the smell of oil in the restaurant. I find that when we dine in, my hair and clothes end up smelling like fried food. I've been ordering take-out lately to avoid this problem. I still recommend it though!!! Just make sure your prepared for the smell!

First of all to "The Service is Horrible" they are not rude ever...well maybe the owner but no one else...Second they dont put lettuce in their red dragon and Third their spicy mayo is absolutly amazing..I recommend everyone to order it on the side to try it out (its free!)...I go to sushi itto about once a week and all the servers and the owner no me and my girlfriend very well even though i have never formally introduced myself. It is a great environment with great sushi which is not different for buffet as takeout!!!! I highly recommend the crispy rolls, and the crispy salmon hand rolls. My only negative is the washrooms I would go to the washroom before I show up

Never had the buffet (perhaps there's a difference), but we get takeout platters often. The staff has been very polite, the portions are very ample, it's wonderfully fresh, and the taste is great. In comparison to other sushi places I've been to, it's a good value - and above-average in taste. The hostess (?) will often offer us tea while waiting for our pickup. We eat there regularly.
