WAY OVERPRICED!! You don't get a whole lot here. Guess your paying for the name and fad on this one.
Food quality was ho hum and nothing special. At least not worth $10 for a breakfast. My girlfriend and I are not scared to spend good money on good food but this was a bit too much for me. The service was ok. Again nothing special.
The sad part is I'll have to go back because my girlfriend like the place. She dosen't care about money all that much but I like some value for my $35 for two to have breakfast.
Reminds me of some of the places in yuppieville (Yorkville in Toronto) like Sassafrass which is all hype with decent food. Better off at a no name breakfast joint.
Expensive for no reason.
- Order: Eggs benedict- weren't very good though

Great Breakfast!
I have to say that I'm surprised at some of the more negative reviews. We go to Cora's when we want a great breakfast, and have never had experiences like that ("stuff" happens, even to the best of us, so I don't include the occasional slip-up).It is pricier than some other places, but I consider the quality of the food, ample portions, and fresh fruit on nearly every plate – actual fruit, not just a dried up orange/cantaloupe slice – value for my dollar. The food is consistently fresh & cooked properly, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant is always clean – even the bathrooms on a Sunday morning, with a junior Olympic team in the kiddie-room.
We haven’t had everything on the menu, but we’ve not had anything that wasn’t at least good, if not all rave-worthy. (I think it’s important to recognize that a blueberry pancake in January isn’t going to be the same blueberry pancake in August) The artsy fruit-on-the-side is a tasty & healthful addition (fair trade for the delicious Québec-style sugar fudge I nip on the way out). The coffee & tea aren’t stellar, but they're good, and the fresh juices are always fresh.
The variety of dishes shouldn’t be overlooked, either; if you’re like us, and you want 2 slices of cholesterol smothered with artery-clogging goodness-sauce, or you’re more the type for a poached egg-white omelette that takes more energy to chew than it gives you – you’re in luck… there’s a breakfast for you, and chances are it’ll be good.
As big fans of breakfast out, Cora’s is our favourite - and we're not alone - there’s a reason the line is so long to get in.
(One quick note: I’m sure most folks who eat at restaurants on a regular basis know that food is handled without gloves fairly regularly in professional kitchens everywhere – especially kitchens where the cook isn’t walking over to the cash register to take your money, or change the garbage bag.)
- Order: Eggs "Ben-e-dictine" (?), sausage, "regular" breakfast with fried bologna (yeah, I know), coffee, tea, OJ & grapefruit juice

while waiting in line, i noticed that the short order cooks handled all of the food with their bare hands!! so, cutting the watermelon - bare hands ALL over the fruit part! (not just the rind!) same with peeled oranges! and strawberries!! hands all over the fruit that was placed on a place for direct consumption by a customer!! even the COOKED waffles! - removed BY BARE HAND from the waffle maker!! are there not public health rules that say gloves need to be worn to touch food?!! you never see anyone at tim horton's picking up a donut with their bare hands and hand it to you!! - what about bacteria! hepatitis!! the department of public health needs to check this place out!!
- Order: crepes

all the reviews complaining about long waits, thats a good thing! at least they have business. it was my first time here and it was a good experience. my sausages came warm and my fruit waffle had a generous amount of fruit. no complaints at all from me. it is pricey but you get what you pay for. even though they were busy, we never felt rushed to leave and our waitress (holly) was very attentive and nice. it's a nice atmosphere and i would recommend it as a great place to go for breakfast.
considering this place is a breakfast oriented place, they open very early. showing up an hour before they close, when the kitchen staff has been there all morning, i would understand somewhat not great service and that goes for any restaurant! - Order: waffle with fruit, breakfast sausage, orange juice
- Excellent BREAKFAST Restaurant!!

I've been to this specific Cora's many times and everytime I have left smiling and full. I have only ever gone for breakfast and would assume this is their specialty since the menu is largely breakfast foods...crepes, eggs, waffles, fruit bowls etc... In my opinion the food always tastes and looks good but the service can be bad and so can the wait in line outside.

The blueberry crepe had absolutely no
taste at all. I wasn't sure if it
was a pancake at first...it was too
thick and way too rubbery. The cinnamon
bread dunked in french toast batter, fruit and egg was good though. - Order: blueberry crepes; cinnamon bread dunked in french toast batter, egg,

I like going to Cora's. Yes it is a bit more expensive than the local greasy spoons, but it is worth it for a treat every once in awhile. I like all the fruit and the lack of grease. I feel like I have had a healthy breakfast each time I go there.
