Cedar Grill

I like Lebanese food, and have been to a lot of places this is a decent place, not the best in the city, but far from being the worst. I'd be willing to go back.

This is without a doubt my favorite Lebanese restaurant. I love their food, the service is always fast, friendly and great, and the atmosphere there is awesome. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody.

Having just read the other reviews perhaps the place was having an off day when we visited...

The restaurant was fine, not atmosperic but that's difficult to pull off in a 10 year old premesis with drop ceilings. The decor and cleanliness were very good. Service was cheery and quick to begin with but dwindled somewhat after the food arrived and the bill was tough to get. We ordered a taster starter for three which came about 30 seconds before our meal was also brought out. Of course this just left us with a daunting amount of food on the table but also quickly cooling down hot mains. They should have really let us finish or at least have a good attempt on the starter before serving the main! One had melon salad which was nothing to speak of. One had lamb kebab which was good and one had the "special" 60 hour marinated steak. I don't think that the steak had seen 60 minutes of marinating if it had been marinated at all. It was also tough in sinious. We left having perhaps got through about 25% of the starter and having had a cold main course. I have to say that the humous was very nice.

Best Middle Eastern Cuisine in entire GTA. If you try their chicken schwarma with their garlic sauce, I will guarantee you will never eat anywhere else. The selection of food is amazing, the portion sizes are very generous and prices are great. If you're ever in Newmarket and want to grab a bite to eat, go to Cedar Grill. AMAZING FOOD!

By far one of the best places to get Middle Eastern food, native to Toronto, I've eaten Middle Eastern from downtown to Scarborough, also a frequent traveller I've even eaten Middle Eastern in the heart of London, and this place trumps them all. Servings are large, we were given a large salad, and our dish for $8.99. The service was nice and friendly, and the decor definitely surprised us from the look of the outside, they have a bar and a sectioned off area for private functions, and they have ethnic music playing. They also do takeout I think. I am definitely going to go again and I even went with a friend whose very finicky about food and wasn't too crazy about Shawarma and they loved it. Give it a try.
