  • After two visits, I'm really liking this place.

The food is delicious. Definitely try the beef samosas. The naan bread is massive and delicious (order the garlic naan!). The curries are authentically spiced, cardamom pods, cinnamon bark and all. I did have the tandoori chicken one time and it was a little dry.

The owner, who sounds like an British expat, is really friendly.

  • Order: Garlic nann, curry chicken, beef samosa

  • After reading reviews (not on here), I decided to try this restaurant with a friend. We arrived at an off-time (after 8pm), so I wasn't sure what to expect. With the exception of the cook/owner and the waiter, the place was empty.

The waiter, who was the owner's friend, was very helpful with the suggestions. He was very friendly and engaging as well.

In terms of the food, it's "British-style" Indian food. Apparently that means that it's made without extra grease, creams, 'n butters. And this definitely set the food apart from other curry houses.

The onion bhajees were delicious. They came with a nice sweet, slightly sauce. Do share 'cause there are 5 timbit-sized balls.

The Saag Paneer, although good, I still don't like the spinach version of this cheese dish. (I'd prefer the tomato sauce one.) The Rogan Josh had a good flavour. The lamb was not muttony tasting which is appreciated!

Usually, when I eat Indian food, I tend to have stomach issues/diarrhea. I think it's due to the cream content - I'm lactose-intolerant. However, I did not have the same issues here.

The food here just didn't have that heavy, greasy, cream taste!

I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant was decorated in an upscale European way.

I'd definitely recommend it to friends and go back whenever I'm craving Indian food, but don't necessarily want to pay the consequences!

  • Order: Onion Bhajees (5), 2 curry combo - Saag Aloo, Rogan Josh w/ naan, Chai
