  • Our regular Chinese restaurant was closed for a wedding so we stumbled on the Phoenix by accident - it is one of four in this plaza and we flipped a coin.

Very good food, good service and excellent value. Large portions so count on taking some home.

    The Singapore noodles are excellent.

It seems to be very popular with the local Chinese and it filled up quickly after we arrived.

The Phoenix will now become our regular Chinese restaurant

  • For you who havent tried this yet.. please try it. Its basically a casserole type dish. Its a fried battered chicken cutlet on top of egg fried rice, with Cream sauce and cheese and onions. I think this is the main reason I go to Phoenix.
Sometimes im there 2 times a day LOL. If u come between 3-6pm or 9-close its $6.50 for a large portion. Small is $5.50 but it is still filling! Add 50 cents if u want a cold milk or lemon tea drink..

  • The washrooms (as are most chinese restaurants I've encountered) are deplorable. This restaurant makes no exception. However, to those of you who judge restaurants by washroom, this place is an interesting exception. I like to think of this place as my little hangout for satisfying my craving of affordable chinese food.
    Food:
Edible, and enjoyable, but not for a gourmet satisfaction. The whole shrimp wontons are out of this world, and the shrimp paste flavoured beef hor-fun are my favourites, but it's very strong for people with sensitive taste buds. The rest is acceptable, but not the best.
    Service:
Just like another chinese restaurant. There was nothing wrong with what they were doing, but there's room for impovement.

  • Order: wonton noodles, fried rice

  • For some reason I just like this restaurant, not that their food is the greatest or most delicious, but they are good values for the money. Big portions, milk tea, and steaks flavored more towards Asian taste than your Montana/western steakhouse. I don't eat a little, and most of the time I can barely finish it. It is a nice feeling, being full and satisfied, without going bankrupt

  • The food is not gourmet, but you don't go to this place for that. You go for huge quantities of decent but extremely cheap food. For $13 I got two pieces of filet mignon with veggies and rice, baked escargot, soup, potato salad, and a coffee. The kids meals (with, oddly enough, escargot) are even better deals!

  • Phoenix is a nice little restaurant that is extremely cheap.

The black pepper beef noodles and the singapore noodles are awesome. The only sour spot of this restaurant is their horrid seafood and steak dishes.
