Applewood Fish & Chips

I found this little 'fish place' by chance one day a few months ago. I'm upset! ~ they've been there for many years - and I didn't Know!! ...NOW I'm telling EVERYBODY! (today I'm picking up 4 Halibut & Chips for the gang at the office!!!! ) ~ Check it Out! and Spread the WORD!

I lived on this place when I worked in the area years ago. If you like real original fish and chips you'll love this one.

New to the neighbourhood my wife and I were happy to stumble upon this famly restaurant. Stepping in I suddenly realized that they would close at 7pm I was expecting to hear that we would have to do take-out. Not so... we were warmly greeted and Stephanie sat us down to a fantastic meal. The halibut was light, moist and the batter crips and flaky. Yes, we'll be back! Thanks to Stephanie for the nutritional insights.

We work close by and decided to check this place out. AWESOME///.We were pleasantly surprised how great this place is. Fast and friendly, we will go back there.

Simply, very goodfood. They obviously care about the food. Nice greetings when we entered, they asked how everything was. We enjoyed our meal and we`ll be back.

I have tried lots of fish and chips in a variety of places.The dinner that I had at Applewood was one of the best fish meals I have eaten. I will eat there again. I prefer Pepsi to Coke though.

My friend and I came in for a fast lunch because we wanted a change from burgers. We both liked the fish and it was our first time trying smelts and we thought they were great. The place has a cool fish design. The fish wasn't greasy and it was a generous portion.

Our family really enjoyed our dinner at Applewood Fish and Chips. A very family oriented restaurant. The food and service was excellent. The kids loved the fun fish decor. A new place for our family to eat out. We all look forward to coming back.

nice restuarant in decor I am a clown fish fan so there are alot of those mascots around.

the fish is done Canadian style like if you are making them for kids. the batter was done crispy and tasted very oily. and the chips are basically french fries. service very good but not really a british style fish and chips.
