ive gone to aielli many times in my 10 years of living in port credit...
this restaurant is underestimated and not given enough credit for it 30 some odd years ...the new renos are absoultely stunning with the big window in the front that makes it almost a patio. its too bad the rest of that part of lakeshore looks the way it does.
incredible ambiance perfect for a romantic occasion or even just a night out...
the menu has changed a few times since ive been coming here but it always pleases...we stated off with the strega shrimp which is amazing!!! a mustard cream sauce with crispy julienne vegtables makes it hard to not wip up the plate with bread. Calamari was cooked perfect..and not breaded!!! cant find that anywhere (worth going to anyways)...and the butternut pasta so creamy ...perfect for fall and winter...and the beef tenderloin wass definately one of the best steak ive had in a while...a perfect m/r with melting fois gras atop... most times we have Debby...one of the best servers around...she creates the experience, treats her guests like friends and makes the experience more than enjoyable...louis the owner is welcoming and seems genuinely happy that you are there and not just your wallet... he's taken us on tours of his impressive wine room which is always a crowd pleaser...
all in all Aielli Restaurant will always be my favourite no matter what ...

Having gone many many times to this restaurant - and the owner operaters are wonderful and warm and the food is excellent . However again and again we have to endure without a doubt the rudest serving staff in the city --- and it never changes - they are so rude and unpleasant - if the food and the owners were not wonderful we would never go back...

Having dined here several times, this particular evening was very disappointing. The restuarant had a party in the back room and they were likely not staffed well as our whole dinner took 3-4 hours. Everything was extremely slow and the food was not of their typical standard. Many of our party's dishes were only luke warm and overall, the quality was poor. It was disappointing as when the server asked how everything was, we were obviously not 100% statisfied. The restaurant did little in the way of compensating for the delays and instead of comping a dessert or two, they did nonething. In the end, we left disappointed and will not be returning for some time.

I went to this restaurant based on the ratings I got (which is unlike me, but decided to do it anyway). I was so glad I did. I took a friend out for her birthday and what a night! The food was incredible, affordable and I was actually full when I left (which is not an easy thing to accomplish). The service was incredible. Once we got there, the chef's who work parallel to the front door greeted us, which was impressive! Our waitress was not only great as a server, but as an actual person! Dessert was amazing (they had 3 features beyond what was on the menu) and they were very artistic! I wanted to paint it! The decor and music makes you feel like you're in Italy! Great place if you want to bring a date or impress someone! I want to go back over and over again!

Though the fare is Italian, not greek.
