Sushi-Ya Japan

Tiny location, but wonderful sushi, and I love the owners/staff. They bend over backwards to make sure you get what you want, and you're happy.

We always take-out from this restaurant & the sushi is always fresh and tasty. However, we never had a chance to sit down in the restaurant to enjoy a dinner - it does seem kind of small - so I can't state anything about the atmosphere.

Extremely fresh and tasty with large portions. Some of the freshest sushi we have ever had at a great price and friendly service. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating to food allergies.

Great sushi, i always order takeout and have never been disappointed. They remember my name and order and are always ontime . Fish is fresh and prepared extremely well.

Was really a great experience, with kind staff and quite good food. I've eaten sushi many places, including Japan, and although the variety is less, the quality was there. I'd eat there again anytime.

The sushi was better than what I normally get in Guelph or KW. It tasted fresh and they didn't load up on rice like some other sushi places to cheapen the food. The decor was cute. The place is small though so you might want to make reservations on busy nights.

The service was halfway satisfactory. The lady was courteous and we got our food within expected time. However, we got kicked out when we had been sitting there and talking for awhile. ("We have reservations here in 5 minutes." Yeah right, there were so many other empty tables and at 3:30pm??)

The funny thing is, shortly after she served us the sushi boat, she brought the cut up oranges. I guess that was a hint that she didn't want us to stay and order more sushi or dessert? We weren't even loud or anything so you can tell these people want you in and out as fast as possible. Not my ideal place to enjoy and relax with friends!

I've been coming to Sushi-Ya since it opened. The owners and staff are so sincere and thankful for your business. The fish is fresh, the rolls are tasty. The price is a little high for me but worth it.

they make a great meat lovers pizza. The dough was raw but what to expect on a raw fish pizza.

I've been to many sushi restaurants in the GTA, and this one is by far the best. The food is great, I crave it all the time! The staff is great, the waitress always remembers what I order, even over the phone. I recommend this restaurant!!!
