Matts Rib House

When Matts first opened, our family enjoyed their ribs. They are cooked correctly and the good sauce is likely their own recipe. Their steep pricing led us to only rare visits, however.
Since their early days, they have diversified by adding Indian cuisine to their menu. A good addition to the Milton area. But read on...

I just had an experience at Matts that has changed my opinion. My wife and two young kids were there and after ordering, our kids acted up and we asked for our order to go. The big reveal when we got home... the childrens lasagna portion ($6) was not much bigger than 2 Oreos. Because it was to go, we didn't get the included ice cream - no discount. My wife's hamburger was very basic for the price, and lacked in taste. My lamb korma.... wasn't lamb! It was stewing beef! I have to wonder if it was a conscious decision by the chef since it was to go. Potato soup for my daughter tasted like it was frozen and microwaved. Almost powdery, with ample pepper added to give some notion of taste.

The restaurant itself is more like an upscale diner with a bar. Reasonably clean.

Most couples will be spending about $50 to get a selection of food.

What is most puzzling is that Matts cannot decide what it is trying to be. Ribs? Indian? Pub? Family Food? With more focus, Matts could be more consistent and successful. Until the, the quality seems to be suffering.

Really super amazing ribs. And Matt the proprietor is often on-site!!! Truly a wonderful place to grab a bite and a drink.

The Potato soup was out of this world. It was very creamy and smooth, and the added chesse and bacon was exceptional. My financee and I loved the Baby Back Ribs, the portion was great for the price. The meat was so succelent that it was falling of the bone !!
We will definitley bring family and friends to this great family diner

Simply delicious food. Good Service indeed & the owner Matt is a very friendly person. Have eaten in several restaurants around the world & have never tasted such good food esp. the finger lickin' ribs. Will be back. You can count on it.

Overall Matt's Rib House throughly exceeded my expectations.

The best dinner I have ever had! The lasagnea was so moist and the cheese was melted to perfection! The ribs were suculant and the homemade sause was delicious! The cowlslaw was amazing! The Joshua apple strudle was the best, with the apples wraped in a sugar bread role and the ice-cream on top with chocolate sauce! Simpl delicious!

The most horrid ribs I have ever eaten in my life. Dry tasteless and lacking in every conceivable way. How this place remains open is Milton's greatest mystery.

I have eaten all over the world and the beef ribs are the best!! So tender, so big! The owner, Matt even came out and said "hello"

The food is esxtremely good. The best ribs I have ever had. Matt has a great thing going there and I will be back for sure.
