Harrop Restaurant & Gallery

For the past 2 years, we have hosted a very large family dinner at the Harrop Restaurant. Our group of 15 included 3 boys between ages 2 - 9 and 2 infants. Both years, the service and hospitality shown to our large, boisterous group by all the staff and management made us feel so welcome! The group menu selections perfectly suited everyone in our party, including my sister-in-law who is vegetarian. From the appetizers to the main courses to the desserts, everyone thorougly enjoyed their meals, and the service was wonderful! The Harrop Restaurant exceeded our expectations both years, giving our far flung family the opportunity to come together for a truly memorable evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant for your special evening.

The appetizers were good, but the entrees were unbelievably amateurish.

Way overpriced. Will not go back, even to give them another chance.

You walk up to the door and feel like you're visiting friends for a holiday dinner. The atmosphere is soft, cosy and romantic. We enjoyed a good meal by candellight. I couldn't stop eating the bread. The service couldn't have been better! The restaurant doubles as an art gallery, and you're welcomed to take a look around and upstairs. And if you can afford to buy a print or two. We were just about the last couple to leave and had enjoyed the gallery when the owner who had seen to our needs the whole night asked if we'd like a tour as he showed us around and told us a little about the place. We will definately be visiting again when in need of a romantic meal with an old world charm.

My gf has very particular food allergies. I cannot express enough how good they were about this. They took the time to make sure they had all the details and really made the meals specific to both of our needs.
The food was excellent. Try the duck; trust me. Great atmosphere to the place and we will definitely be returning soon. Top marks for service; best I have had in a long time.

This is our first visit since the new owners took over & we were very impressed. The service was excellent & the owners & waitress 'Carmen' was top notch. After dinner we went upstairs and walked through the galary & they held off on our desert/coffee until our return. We will most definitely be back, this is a wonderful classy restaurent and the food was excellent. Loved the apple crumble desert, mmm Yum!

Would not go back there again and will tell my friends about the bad service we had, 6 adults 3 children and still they couldn't get it right , took them 3 1/2 hours to get out of that place and $370.00 lighter. good bye.

Beautiful colonial mansion house, very cozy atmosfere, excellent food and service, reasonable prices for fine dinning. We will certanly go back.
