Henry's South Fish Restaurant

While I would hope that Paul reads these reviews, I'm not too optimistic . I have been coming in here for years, both for business and pleasure. Tonight, a local party of 10, and I have never felt like I, (we) were such an inconvience. Realizing that this place is busy, (many of us boat at the adjacent marina), when we arrived we were told about a ten minute wait. No problem, right? After waiting an hour, one of our group walked in to see not 1 but 2 tables for 8 that were empty, inside. Nope, they were going to serve us outside, only. Finally, when a gazeebo croud left, we were told they were going to serve us outside, but, the restaurant was going to close in 45 minutes. Really? Like put us on a timeline now? Just not right, especially in these times where the area is struggling for tourism. Keep in mind, when the tourists go home, we are your business. Treat us as equals, ok? Cheers!

Half of the fish choices were not available. Pan fried pickerel (frozen) was deep fried, stiff and tasteless.
Fries were pedestrian. However the baked beans and cold slaw were good.
Glass of house wine was $10.00 ?
Server was far from " world famous " as advertised on
T shirt. Seemed to be in a fog.

Henry's has NEVER..... Been a disappointment!!! Food is always excellent!!!!! Service is friendly and food is fresh

The best place to share a fish platter for 2. The portion sizes are more than enough, you might even take some home. The coleslaw is to die for..!! Cozy, warm & inviting atmosphere. We look forward to returning each and every time.

Very good! Everything was great. The battered pickerel was a tiny bit greasy but not enough to worry about. Fries were great, baked beans were amazing. We were a party of eight and everyone enjoyed the experience. Will definitely return the next time we are in Midland

We ate at Henrys this weekend and it was without a doubt the best fish and chips we have had in a long time. We will make the three hour drive in the future just to eat there! One person in our party never eats anything except ocean fish and he has now become a Pickerel lover if it comes from Henrys. This is true value for the money spent!

Excellent service and food. Our 1st time visit, as recommended by father-in-law who is a local resident and frequent Henry's visitor. We sat on the covered outdoor patio and enjoyed the marine scenery. Meal was delicious with salad, beans and pickerel done to perfection. Portions a bit too large for an average appetite. Looking forward to returning.

I am lucky enough to live in Midland, so I get to go to Henry's whenever a special meal is in order. We all love fish! And Henry's is the very best fish!

WOW.. Simply the best.

Excellent as always, although the whitefish was a little dry.
